Bad Gas is 9 pts up the melee tree and has a 30 foot range. If you were taking it and almost maxing quick shootin, now you go 9 pts up the other ranged tree instead and pick up 2 100 foot ranged attacks.

O damn did not notice that, thx for pointing that out. M4 going baseline seems like a potential buff for ranged SHs in a bomb squad at least. Bad Gas always seemed like it should require squig armor anyways IMO, close range and it's a stabbity tree mastery ability, plus gobbos can't produce that amount of gas on their own.
No, M4 going baseline and triggering 5 minute global CD for morales is a big nerf aswell. Forces lots of shootin if you want a usable morale. Overall a big gimp to existing warband specs.

Edit: Should add that it doesn't really create a new one either.
So it's an all round nerf to ranged SH?? From what I've read they have already been hit pretty hard in the past?
No, this is all for warband SHs. And you can still troll people with lots of shootin, the change doesn't affect a full ranged bomb spec.

Whelp, I'm seeing a big pile of buffs for my playstyle, and I imagine having pounce on a class with aoe knockbacks, aoe slow, and aoe CD debuffs is gonna be plenty useful in WBs.
Utility alone doesn't make a class good for a warband. And all that CC is pretty much irrelevant as it is covered many times over in a warband, the only truly worthwhile utility SH brings is bad gas, and as I already said the change gimped it for a proper warband spec.

It would have been fine if the change revolved around AoE, but for some reason the rework strayed away from a warband path and went more in the direction of upping survivability and 1v1 potential at the cost of anything related to warbands. Skirsmish and quick shootin trees were both nerfed to the ground for AoE (rightly so), but SH was a few nudges away from having the stabbing tree warband viable allowing it to dps without STY. It was pushed several nudges away from viability instead, to cater to solo players.

If all planned rework come live, Melee SHs gonna be the most respectable melee class on destro side :D 75% speed charge for 10s thru enemies, pounce, AOE cooldown increaser, self heal dmg skill + self armor buff(on top off the buff from Squig armor) + 15 % avoidance tactic will give melee SH tank stats 33% parry, dodge, disrubt just from maxed avoidance renowns + tactic. :D Cant wait to see this live.

PS: I am worried about destro melee classes which can be (and probably will be) outshined by this at least in large rvr scale.

So will Indigestion be scaling with # of targest like SL or will it always be full strength?

The amount of stuff SHs will have is a bit staggering to me.
CD increase, on-demand KD/Disarm, pounce, roa/furious choppin, sever blessing, aoe knocback and "self punt" with aoe snare on top of everything.

Am i not getting something? Are there less abilities on RoR than on career builder?

I can t wait to see what the team can do with this.

If it stops desto chat being full of "WL pounce OP" I'm all for it.
Only if the SH will be able to kill someone in 3 secs after the pounce.....
like he needs it, i think it's more about bad gasing backlines (hello healers) or escaping.

order healers will be happy
