I'm not working on influence. I did change the DB to allow the full set of Lv11 gear to drop from more mobs but it hasn't been implemented. I'm not handling renown either.
What I'm working on is the combat system and abilities in general.

@Azarael
I was just thinking about one thing when i saw my screenshot from an old topic here.. Are you actually also doing the Stuff around positionals in your Ability Rework? I mean working Side and Back of each player, or are you missing some legit information about that part?

Re: [Pending Update] Current State of Classes and Abilities
Unless there's something more to positionals than has already been posted (arcs for front, back and sides) I'm not sure what you're asking me

Re: [Pending Update] Current State of Classes and Abilities
Na im asking IF the positionals are part of the ability rework, or if its a mechanic on its own nothing to do with that :>
Re: [Pending Update] Current State of Classes and Abilities
Everything is part of the ability rework.
Since the OP is effectively useless from this point on, I was actually considering scrapping it and replacing it with my current progress on implementing abilities on the new code.

Re: [Pending Update] Current State of Classes and Abilities
That would be quite interresting
.. would you mind telling us about what %age of the System you _think_ you got working til now?

Re: [Pending Update] Current State of Classes and Abilities
Most of my time has actually been spent doing the framework. I'm only now getting to the part where I can add abilities to the DB and have them work without having to code anything.
Generally, the framework is missing Requirements checks, so abilities which require parry, block, position etc before they can be used don't handle correctly, and most career mechanics don't work. I'm postponing tactics for now.
Swordmaster and Black Orc are the classes I'm implementing first, and their regular and specline abilities work from 1-40 (with the caveat stated above), as well as the career mechanic.
Morale-wise, Demolishing Strike, Raze and a couple of the SM career/specline morales work (including Wings of Heaven).
Since this is mostly about adding info to the DB now, most of the abilities in the game can be got working without much trouble, so I'm concentrating on things not yet in the framework that do concern me (certain career mechanics).

Re: [Pending Update] Current State of Classes and Abilities
okay that sounds like you built something that lets you - simply said - add numbers/scalings/graphiceffects/whatever into the different skills and you get out a working spell? or did i misinterpret that? and are you testing everything on your own, or do you actually have some sort of shared tests with other Devs? Anyway i hope you dont overwork yourself here

Re: [Pending Update] Current State of Classes and Abilities
I can attest since I've been playing at max 12 past week+, not all their abilities work as stated.
Tuffer 'n' Nails deals direct damage and increases your armor.
This ability when used, I don't notice a change/increase to armor applied to stat sheet, or damage taken by players/PVE mobs. Damage remains the same.
Trip 'Em Up deals damage and snares the foe.
Snare is applied, but re-use of ability does not refresh the snare, until initial snare runs through and expires its duration first.
Get 'Em! increases the rate of your group's AP regeneration.
AP regneration doesn't appear to apply to my own character. Working as intended/known issue?
Skull Thumper's dot component lists in combat log as damage apply to myself instead of the target(s) struck. Amusing.
I'm sure you may already know, and thats why it's not listed in first post, but BO's Wot Armor? does not seem to reduce actual armor of target. Don't notice a change/increase of consecutive damage applied to target.
Edit: Just noticed/read you were already aware of effects abilities/stats not applying yet. I see this now! :O
Edit2: Additional ability notes.
Thanks for all the effort!
