I think a good example on this defensive gameplay could be the slayer/choppa mechanics. Very often playing that class rage has to be dumped in order to survive focus. This also gimps dmg on the char quite a lot, but it is something that has to be done in order to survive. Imo its the same intentions that was with the BW/sorc.

You forget to acknowledge that sorc/bw deal only little damage sub 71 mechanic points. Saying that they don't need to sit at 100 is like ignoring the facts.
Their low base damage is raised over the top with their mechanic. Without it, they deal less damage than any other DPS class.
When thinking about balancing ideas, keep in mind that both classes have to sit at almost 100 mechanic to do their job.
Having a skill to drop comb/dm instantly to avoid the drawbacks sounds ok to me. We have to talk about the exact drawbacks separately.

Slayer/Choppa lose half their defenses, Sorc/Bw already have low defense values like all robe classes. Not being able to receive serious heals(only 25% like mentioned), while unable to drop comb/dm, when knockdowned, is an even greater drawback than playing Choppa/Slayer with their current mechanic.
Dying is no option.

Badfaith ! This time it's badfaith, don't make me do a list of all cc/skill, it would be too long ............ This look much as a taunt or a troll than a real opinion ...

EDIT: i give back what i said, sorry, i though you spoke about Warhammer Online, not RoR (T1 only then), and here, i agree with you

Wait what ? Who are you to say that ?

I'm sorry to see that you don't want to hear us. You just want this to happen, so any agrument won't be enought for you to not apply the heal debuff ...

BTW RoR has to redo the old Warhammer Online, not a personnal version of excentricites ....

Comparing the survivability of an mdps and rpds. Oh dear me. Strawman?

The original devs also said so. The way the current mechanic works in game was not intended.

Are you ignoring that fact the mythic devs even said it was not intended to sit at 100?

I propose a new Shadow Warrior/Squig Herder mechanic. They now build up Sweaty Palms/Butterfingaz which increases their crit chance 50% and crit damage 100%, but also gives 50% chance of shooting themselves in the face, dealing x damage.

Stop using "bad faith" as if you understand what it means. Noone has assumed bad faith. We are having a discussion, and the response to a discussion is not to sling around "bad faith!" (nope) "who are you to say that!?" (a player making an argument which you have to counter and disprove) and "I'm sorry that you don't want to hear us" (nope, your assumption). None of that is helpful.

If you can offer actual counterpoints to what is being discussed, do so, but do not start making baseless accusations if you're unable to, no matter how much you fear changes which may not even be implemented.

I have a 10/20 BW. I don't have any reason to want the class be "nerfed" in bad faith. I'm interested in a fix to improve the general game balance.

Edit: This discussion reminds me somewhat on the "siphon vitality" discussion in the mythic forum.

Do you want to raise their base damage? Because otherwise you won't even need a detaunt against their full rotation.
