I would like to take a few minutes to discuss the priorities of the game based on the bug report. I noticed that a lot of core bugs that make the game functional aren't your highest priorities and that to me and many other players here are concerned about it. I understand there are situations that come up where it's difficult to work with the game. However, it doesn't excuse the fact that the core items like mechanics, interface, stats, and abilities don't have the highest priority when they really should be.

Take your abilities tab under the bug report for example. I noticed that 1 item is on the high priorty list while the others are pushed aside. I would think that somebody there has their priorities in order and knows that core elements need to be done. From the people that I have talked to, they are in agreement with this and would like to see this stuff fixed before anything else gets done. It was also mentioned that the team focus on T1 first before branching out to work on the rest of the game.

When you go to work, there are certain things that are of the highest priority for the business to function. It's pretty much the same concept. Sort out those priorities. make them of the highest, especially if you want people to stick around. Your core elements are 50%-80% of the work. From there, everything else will come easy. Some players have even said that after 6 months now, there has been no significant changes and now that I think about it, he's right. You're going to have your few die-hard players like myself, but when the core stuff isn't being worked on as one of those MUST do things that HAVE to get done, then even a player like me begins to lose interest in a game that myself and countless others have enjoyed for so many years.

This is just some of the things that myself and others agree on. People want to see the team get together collectively as a whole and work on these core elements. If they see those core elements being worked on with patches than they start to tell others about it and collectively get a bigger player-base. I'm pretty sure that's what you guys want and well as everybody else. Thanks for taking the time to read the feedback and I mean no offend to the team as they're doing a fantastic job so far.
We should be thankful these kind ppl have a server open for us let alone work on developing it.
Im sure no bad intentions were meant from the post and was purely down to the frustration of a game many love having to be reworked and alot of important combat mechanics not functioning but you have to be realistic. The devs spend there free time to work on stuff and that can only be praised, im sure they are aware of the more important issues and work towards it as best they can.
If u have no coding/computer knowledge like myself and are eager to see atleast combat mechanics working like they did on official servers you best bet is to be patient and hope the devs dont get bored/giveup, not much else can be done and when someone makes a posts like yours im sure it does more harm then good.

Hey everyone!

Sorry for not posting on the forums as much as I should have lately. I've been on holiday traveling around some of Europe since the 7th July and got back last night. I (obviously) haven't been able to do much work whilst I was away, but I still managed to fill some train time with working on the server. I've worked more on Public Quests and done some ability fixes, which are ready to be deployed on the server. I have also been working on some White Lion (and similar classes) mechanics. (See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UWI75x ... tu.be&hd=1 ).

I will be posting more often and keeping everyone up to date more. As for the priority system used on GitHub. Highest Priority is often reserved for urgent bugs of current features in the game, such as major exploits or things which cause the server to crash or lock up. The issue tracker also may not contain all the things which are currently being worked on.

we are currently working on applying weapon damage and stat damage (strength int ..) to the ability base damage +while we are at that we add career recurses to the ability so we can later get the career mechanics to work

we just run into a little problem now that the whole base damages in the db got the wrong values so we try to find a source where to get the real ability base damages from ( without weapon damage / stat damage applied)
since if we cant find that we would have to alter every damage for every spell for every level by hand -_-

so if anyone got a good idea where to get them from let us know ^^
warbd is somewhat helping but some ability are outdated there

Does this help?

Go to "abilities" menu.

Hover your mouse pointer over the ability graphic and it gives you the damage and description.

That's what we are currently doing by hand. We currently can't seem to find the client file which has that information.
