I don't think an increase drop rate for defenders is needed. They already have the defensive advantage that allows them to make use of choke points to inflict massive casualties. I don't know the exact numbers but I'm pretty confident defenders get far more kills in general compared to the attackers. Attackers have the keep door to contend with first while taking fire from defenders. Then they have NPCs that can chew through squishies quickly enough if left unchecked all while taking fire from the defenders and then kill a Hero while still taking fire. Until the Hero is dead the defenders should come out on top. When the Hero dies the attackers gain the rewards.

Spawning in the keep would be a HUGE disincentive to killing the defenders. It would only stop them for 5 secs before they're back in the fight. Attackers would struggle to get off the ground floor at that rate.

I'm not sure what sort of kills/medallion ratios are appropriate however I think a small percentage of a zone lock reward should be awarded if the keep is successfully defended (the door resets). For example after a big battle and keep siege and subsequent zone lock the winning team earn 10 medallions based on kills. If after that same battle the defender succeed in defending the keep and the door resets they earn 2 medallions (based on similar kills).

The idea is that its more rewarding (medallion wise) to be the aggressors and push a zone lock however its worth trying to defend too.

This means during the keep defence the defenders will likely earn more medallions compared to the attackers from kills alone. If the attackers success and lock the zone they get their reward. If they fail (and the defenders indirectly win) the defenders would be rewarded slightly more based on their increased kills. I see the incentive for both sides to push hard.
Just did 2.5 times 150 kill quest in keep defs (around 500 kills) what do u think how many medals droped?

Changing how the currency won't be enough guys. You NEED to change how the zones and objectives flip, too.

However, a guy in this thread made a suggestion that players should only be awarded soldier medallion's for kills.

door should be attackable with 2 bos holding. (so basically if its 2/2 both keep dors are attackable, defenders can attack and defend and vice versa)

We had it like that before. Both realms took two BOs and DPS raced against the enemy keep for lock.

I'm sorry Asarael, but sitting here arguing how bad the old system was, isn't a good solution right now. One of the factions are literally dying as we speak. The new system, as I said multiple times several days ago, is worse than the old one.

At this point I don't care what you do, just do something, other than argue with the players.

I know I'm Mr. Conservative but I'll be the one to say the old system is the best. RvE has always been a means to keep the zerg in the lakes and moving about. If I'm in a premade, we will even flip BO's in in-active zones just to open up targets and keep the other side from logging out. Give the mouse cheese so to speak.

The ability for 2 realms to be on 2 separate keeps may seem like keep trading, but it is essentially Warhammer Online. You see realm pride sneak in through leaders more often than you would think, when something is said like, 'After keep down, fly to empire to defend STK.'

There is more RvR than people think and I've seen plenty of it to be frank. But you need to keep people logged in, i.e. give them some place to go.
Word of Pain and Boiling Blood are no longer able to proc anything. The Bright Wizard College has confirmed this is a big deal. (stealth nerf)

the idea would be: you defend so others have time to lock the zone by taking the other keep or bos. so defending gets a real natural purpose without the need of rewards for just that cause, its a joint effort of the realm and all who participate get a reward.

There could be a split even: there is personal reward for your wbs kills but also a zone wide reward (procentual lower of course) for taking the zone. (still without kills no reward). might cause some discussions with afkers in wc though, needs further thinking.
