WP DPS - Feasible?

So I used to play(attempt anyway haha) a DPS geared WP back in WAR. Now I know it wasn't the best but it could function decently at top end gear levels(I never got that far but I did ok now and then in SC's etc).

So is WP just hopelessly bad in this game right now? If so why? Lack of max level gear/stats/points needed or just not good from the ground up?

If I play WP as a DPS(Hybrid really) will I regret it and be yelled at by everyone I come in contact with?

2H WP barely do more DPS than SNB DPS tanks. They're not good at DPS. They have decent sustained damage and good survivability.

2H BO does very good burst DPS. Best DPS tank.

The short answer - No.

The long answer - Hell no. Absolute lack of utility and mobility combined with laughable sustained damage and non-existent burst damage ensures no remotely serious team will ever consider taking you over any other option.

"DPS" WP? no.

Grace WP yes.

Devs have shown they want to make melee healing viable. While it won't be "meta" it will and has always had a niche role in certain group setups.

If you're adamant on doing damage as a Warrior priest, spec Grace. Use Divine Fury/Fanaticism/Hastened Divinity, talisman for strength, renown for crit/strength or parry if you want to be more defensive.

Wrath in its current state is a wasted team slot, even in 'niche' team comps.
