PQ Gold Bag Leeching

Hello. I have read the rules for posting in this forum, and believe that I am in line with them. If I am wrong my apologies.

The T4 Ruin set PQ gold bags are being farmed round the clock. The award appears to be random at this time, so there are several folks often AFKing and being rewarded with new gear in their mailboxes at the expense of the work of others. This is unfair, obviously, but cannot really be dealt with at this time I think. Somebody made the comment that they wished Order would show up and kill them. This got me thinking about this post.

Community problem? Community solution. During the duel events and things of that nature, order and destro can occupy the same space without killing each other. What if we had like an unofficial rule that PQ leechers are free game for the opposing team, and when 13 people have been sitting AFK being rewarded for the hard work of others, a witch hunter could come in and say, "Don't kill me. Pest control," and we could all turn the other cheek while said exterminator removed the problem?

Any thoughts? I am sure Order players have seen the same issue at their PQs.

Anyways, leeching might stop if they knew that the exterminator was likely to come get free renown.

Fun idea, and it sounds great on paper but I don't think that would be enough to stop leechers, you may be surprised by how lazy some people are.

Just wipe their Ruin gear, imo.

They need to be RvR flagged for what you suggest.

Best is to report those leechers so the staff, who also plays the game, has a list of baddies they can punish once spotted.

The unique working solution is implementing contribution. So who does contribute have much higher chances.
Yesterday a did 2 times the elven one (healing maintank, and killing a lot of impalers) and got nothing, then went afk for 10 mins to answer a call and when back found my first gold bag (on a round of pw in wich i did nothing). Sounds really unfair... At the moment you have also to see that many ppl wanna do something but there are like 3 ppl cambing each single mob so its pretty useless and you just stay there wandering to find mobs or just hitting the little you find.

The contribution system is RANDOM...but they will implement it after all.
And yes: it is a community problem.
Dont forget...if you simply go into the pq area you get the roll...even if you do not even intend to leech.
To call the police every time this happens...meh
Why not simply have yoru own enemy chars ready at hand...you can tell other non leechers what will happen,nearly no one will interfere I guess.

Wipe ruin gear until pqs are fixed. Why would staff want to deal with reports about leechers when the system is the problem.

How is PQ afk leeching any different? Just hide somewhere you can't die- afk overnight- and boom! 20 gold bags. Full+ ruin gear.
