Crash to character select screen(Cant post this on Bugtrack)

Hi,

I seem to be having a reoccurring issues where, if I need to load a new area e.g. Scenario has popped or I move into a new area. The game goes happily to the loading screen then all sound cuts off and I am then are the character select page with no "play" button. I have to restart the game every time unless I head the music come back on?.

This issue has gone from only happening a few times to happening almost all the time.

/Bump bump bump

I get exactly the same. I have 10 characters in all tiers and 3 characters 40r40 - this only happens to me when i want to log on the two r40 chars that have the 60% mount. I can log on fine and as normal with all the others, including the r40 that *doesnt* have the 60% mount.

MagicThighs was looking into this with a guy from DB but have had no success yet. Let me know if you guys need any logs and I will be happy to send.

This issue has gotten to the point where the game is no longer playable for me. Once it crashes to the character select screen that's it (I would add an image of this but every time I print screen it comes out just black?) . Even with a fresh game start it will crash back to the character select screen after trying to load me into game.

The only way for me to be able to play the game again is if I restart my whole computer. But even while playing I am scared or re-zoning while in a warband or even when a scenario pops because I know at some point its going to crash and i'm going to have to do a whole system reboot just to play.

Is this some sort of RAM issues as my computer needs a complete reboot to be able to play?

Any sort of suggestions on the issue would be great.

It's something to do with guilds. Try leave the guild you're in on the character with the problem. Should fix it.

I have the same problem on my 40r chosen with 60% mount. Tried leaving the guild and entering it again but the problem hasn't gone away. Don't want to leave the guild for good. Have the same problem as OP, used to be the crashes were scarce now are quite often.

I was having this issue quite a lot, and leaving my guild seems to have resolved the issue.

clearly a temp workaround, but it's the only way to make the game playable atm sadly

Re: How to write up an official bug report

Hey guys,

I´m having a problem with my account. Either it is of a very unique sort...or I am simply too stupid to handle this game properly. I have sent a bug report via the bugtracker ( https://github.com/WarEmu/WarBugs/issues/6185 (or search for Subject: "Stuck in Inevitable City/Dangerous Territory #6185")), however, I have been told that they do not take care of individual issues.

I have used every single option (at least I think), such as:

- /stuck (twice) during loading screen
- starting through admin rights
- delete & re-install (twice; second time with deletion of any possible temp. files connected to it)
- Abandoned all my quests

If any GM reads this: good. Please, delete this post. I just want some help with a problem that nothing seems to be able to solve it. I apologize sincerely for being off-topic, I´m just desperate.I haven´t been able toplayproperly for almost 2 weeks it seems and I did not get any help so far.

Moved your post to a more relevant topic.

With regards to your problem, can you log in at all with them? Do you remember if they are in any guilds and how many players are in that guild? Guilds with more than 500 in them cause these kinds of symptoms and leaving the guild resolves it.

Hey Elven,

first of all, thank you very very much for your assistance. I can log in at times, about 1/50 times it works...then,I am kicked out again. I think the guild is about that size of 500,yes.I will look into that.Thank you for the information,I am trying everything that is possible. I willkeep this post updated if anything helps. What is strange though is the fact that a friend of mine could log in with my account without any problems. He could travel and do all the things that would cause my game to crash. However, I tried the same with my sister´s laptop and it crashed. I don´t know if this is an IP problem, since it currently affects only about 4 or 5 of my chars, rest is fine. Anyway, for now I will try to step out of the guild and keep you updated. Thank you very much once again!

Sincerely,

Richard

As it stands the only thing I can think of that is causing this is the guild population being >500. This has affected many others and they say it's fixed by leaving the guild. If you are able to do this and report back if you have more issues.

Send me an email or PM me if I don't respond within a day or so.
