[Ironbreaker] Runic Shield

Just wondering... Runic Shield's tooltip says : ''bla bla bla... and you become surrounded by a protective barrier for 10s which will absorb up to 625 magical damage...''

That magical damage part has me puzzled. Cause it seems it only absorbs spell damage, not magical melee damage.

For example, it will absorb Word of Pain, but it won't absorb Rend Soul or Ravage, both of which are spirit damage.

Is this a bug I should put on Bug Tracker, or is the tooltip misleading ? Didn't play IB on live so I don'T know how it should work.

A Chosen is hitting you with a sword/axe/sharp object, not blasting magic from his fingertips at you. Think ranged casters for what it will absorb. Or atleast thats my understanding of it comparing it to how Divine Protection M3 works.

I played IB for nearly all of my time on live and remembered RS absorbing all magic DMG regardless of what stat is was derived from. I figured I was mistaken after it did not work that way on RoR. Glad to know I'm not crazy lol

Yeah and if I understand Azarael's explanation right, the same must apply to quite a few abilities, e.g. BO's Savin' me Hide is presumably useless against engis as it stands atm.
