[BUG] Sorcerer 1-shotting enemy players

I made a dark elf sorcerer a bit ago, and jumped right into the PvP. (Character name Notanelf)
After casting Chillwind upon a player, I noticed the damage was being stated as 2 a tick, but it was dealing a good quarter of their actual health.

I was able to recreate this on multiple players, each time taking them out within a few seconds.
EDIT: Further testing is showing that it works on NPCs as well, a champion two levels above was taken out with three ticks.

Wow, this seems like a serious error in the ability.

You should raise this on Github, then it should be pushed to high priority.

There are two different oneshot bugs that have been seen recently on RoR:

The first is the bolster underflow oneshot, in which low-level characters oneshot high-level characters with a certain amount of Toughness. In this case, you will simply die, without any combat log messages regarding what hit you or who killed you.

The second bug, and the one that should have been fixed, is the Covenant of Vitality mass auto attack bug, and that looks like this:

Could you specify which one you mean?

The second bug is directly related to Guard. Do not use Guard otherwise you risk both you and your target being oneshotted.

Attempting it from a freshly logged in state appears to have brought it back to normal.
It was either the level boost from RvR, or a buff I received during that.
Going to see if I can figure out exactly what caused the issue so it can be fixed.

We know the causes of both bugs now, no need to test.
