Proc meta

A thread to discuss a possible new 6 man meta, I don't claim to know everything about it but I'll give a bit of a rundown of what I do know. Recently been seeing 6 mans taking advantage of procs in their setups now with groups like...

Destro: Heal DoKx2, DPS DoK, Sorc, BO, Ch
Order: Slayer, WP, RP, BW, SM, Knight

The idea here being taking advantage of something that allows you to scale your entire groups damage via tactics/buffs that really blows anything out of the water for similar investment.

I never thought RDPS would make it into the meta in a 2-2-2 group, let alone bw/sorc. But the thing here is the procs are doing so much damage the pressure is close it not equal to that you would find your in 3-2-1 setups that at least somewhat prevent dives onto your weaker classes. The BW/Sorc in these groups are also building pretty defensive.

Here's a rundown of the procs you get in these groups

Destro
HealDoK: Celerity and Vitality, both running Potent Covenants tactic (35% chance to proc), and the one running Celerity picks up Bloodthrist tactic (increased damage).
Sorc: Frozen Touch, with Frozen Fury tactic (75% proc chance).

Order
WP: Prayer of Righteousness with Divine Justice tactic (increased damage).
BW: Flames of Ruin with Crown of Fire tactic(75% chance), and Fueled from Within tactic (increased damage).

The numbers before mitigation:
Order:
20% chance to deal 275 spirit damage on hit (55 dmg)
75% chance to deal 324 ele damage on hit (243 dmg)
~298 damage per hit total

Destro:
35% chance to deal 270 spirit damage on hit (94 dmg)
35% chance to deal 150 spirit damage on hit (53 dmg)
75% chance to deal 210 corp damage on hit (157.5 dmg)
~304.5 damage per hit total

These numbers approach tooltip damage for spammable abilities that defensive spec tanks would have, obviously because this damage does not scale with things like crit, or % increased damage modifiers it greatly effects your tanks DPS output more so than your DPS, but it is still a major DPS boost all around.

So which side currently has the best group for procs? A lot of things to consider for sure. At first glance destro has a much more defensive setup because of the DPS DoK. And why you run DPS dok is because it is the only DPS on destro which has 50% virtual 100% uptime AA haste, paired with some fast swords like the 2.0 speed one from dwarf inf you have a proc machine. Opposite side on Order you have slayer, which is brought because DPS WP is **** trash and ID is absolutely perfect for this type of group.

Either way these groups are nasty, not something you can just outplay with whatever comp you have on atm. Standard melee trains that most guilds have been running are having a very hard time fighting these, and non meta groups might as well just logout of the scenario.

So what counters it besides running the same thing if at all? What variations are out there? Ways to improve or move it forward etc...

It's very nice how quickly everyone and their granny can copy one guild ...

I wrote about this stuff months ago in the dark elf groups thread. At the time shadowgurke in a different thread told me I didn't have a good understanding of game mechanics based on a group that is using proc damage. Now here is a thread on the idea, of how some groups are using it.

Nice

Except the meta has a Chosen, a BO, and would benefit more with a heal Shaman replacing a heal Dok. Basically a mix of Greenskin/Dark Elf, with a Chosen.

As constant damage skills, BS and ST are highly vulnerable to being weakened by power inflation. This might have something to do with it.
