A few questions from a newbie

Hi,
I am new to RoR (downloaded it yesterday) and I have a few questions:
1) Is the reputation system deactivated? Is says I only have to kill enemies, but nothing happens.
1.5) Where can I buy new equipment? I have only seen reputation merchants so far.
2) Where can I craft stuff? I have only seen gatherer-craftingskills so far.
3) Is there an account bank?

1. Renown works, you need to do PvP (or RvR (realm vs realm)) in order to get renown points to increase your renown rank. You can queue for Scenarios (pvp) by clicking the blue icon on the top of your mini-map

1.5. You can buy new equipment in the Warcamp in Nordland (If you have the required renown rank from pvp)

2. There are only 2 crafting professions, Apothecary (potions) and Talisman Making (Hedgewizard) you cannot craft gear. There are 4 gathering professions; Butchering (apothecary materials), cultivating (apothecary), salvaging (talismans), and scavenging (talismans).

3.There is a bank (character wide, not shared across your account. The bank is located in the major city (Inevitable City for destruction, or Altdorf for Order)

There is also guild banks to share items and gold between guildies.
