Dodge Disrupt from the Rear

At the risk of sounding noobish, is dodge and disrupt supposed to work from the rear? I haven't done specific testing and from what I can tell, dodge and disrupt works when attacked from the rear.

It is supposed to work that way iirc. Block and parry are directional, but dodge/disrupt is not.

Yes, I had the same question once and got an answer from a dev that it is indeed intended for Dodge and Disrupt to be omnidirectional. As pointed out, Block and Parry are not. I believe it was like this on retail as well.

I only brought it up because I wanted to make a balance proposal to reduce dodge and disrupt by 50% when calculating from the rear. We cannot submit new proposals however.

The terms "dodge" and "disrupt" are explicitly an intentional action which would be hard without the use of one's eyes. I suppose a lot of things don't make sense like...how do I detaunt and then ignore an actual grizzly bear?

You know what, I think that for the sake of immersion we should force SWs, SHs and Engineers to have to fill their bags with ammo to actually shoot.

Black Orcs taunt should increase the damage more than 30%, I mean they're big, they're smelly and you bet that they're good at insulting.

Black Guards shouldn't be running around at 100 hate because the mechanic should have an in-built risk of a heart attack for the character, keeling over and instantly dying. I mean being that angry that often can't be good for one's heart, right?

These are some great ideas I think, this thread is going places.
