I'm Spider, is this game allowed?
Hey i'm Spider i'm from Queensland Australia, i owned this game back in the day before it shut down, because of this - is it technically legal this private server? as a intellectual property? sorry if this is likely the most asked question, i just can't find any information on it. Although i can find information about return of reckoning as far back as 12 months so my assumption is that it is? is this the case? seeing as no servers exist in the first place?

This project is based on the free association of a developing team that accepts no donations of any kind for their time and effort. They work on it within the lines of the warhammer lore and get no funding from players whatsoever so as to avoid legal complications concerning Games Workshop. So as far as these conditions are met, this project is relatively safe from persecution.

Private servers are a gray area, either way:
Welcome, I hope you will enjoy your stay with us!
Read up on .rules and .ror ingame as well as the TOS so you dont get into trouble with us GMs.
If you encounter any bugs please report them to the bugtracker
Make sure to read what to expect from an alpha and what you accept when you play on this server

Anything with political connections will get wiped, don't bother.
Same thing if you think you can get away with greenlivesmatter for your greenskin.

Names that don't conform to lore are usually fine within reason, take a look at the server rules (which you're supposed to have read prior to playing and which Natherul has helpfully linked in his reply to you, above), naming restrictions are explained there. Definitely don't skip reading all the rules but in general, common sense dictates here - no sexual names, avoid double-entendre, etc.
