dot commands do not work for my account

When i type /s .rules or any other dot command, i actually say it to chat.
Any suggestions what can be wrong?

Don't type /s, just hit enter and .rules

the dot commands dont include /s or anything before.
they are used alone .rules or .ab changelists or .ror

Ppl just suggest to type it in the say /s chat because this way you wont spam the other chats if you get it wrong. (Keep in mind that for some commands you will have to target yourself).

just .anything to "say" do not work either.
when i log in to another acc, that was created long ago, commands do work, so it's not installation issue or enviromental.
tried to turn off all addons, not helped.

Got the same issue. All dot chat commands are kinda bugged or smth. Just saying in chat. Guys from "Advice channel" ignored my question. Would appretiate any useful hints
