What contributes a loot bag in RVR?

With the new changes having been implemented for RVR regarding loot bags, i would like to know what exactly contributes towards gaining a loot bag, is there no threshold or is it based on player time spent taking keeps and battle objectives, kills?

Would also like to know what was the motivation behind it as well.

You can literally show up, hit 1 guy and win a gold bag. Its pure RNG.

Myself and several of my guildies have done this. Ask Shaggyboomboom when he eventually posts in this thread.

I'm sure there are certain things that you can do to bump your contribution score, but then you get a total random roll thrown on top of it.

This morning I locked four zones. In the first three I was there from the very first moment, I ran a PUG WB, I locked quite a few BOS with that WB, personally carried quite a few resources, manned the ram on inner and outer, tanked the lord and contributed to player kills. My scores were from 66th to 114th.

The fourth zone, I did nothing. Ended up with a kill-score of -5, didn't even help with the keep or any BOs and ended up with a score of 15th (and a green bag).

The RNG element is just nonsense... as a bare minimum you should get some fragments for a zone lock, like you do with Ruin.

Made a screen of todays Etaine lock.
Top places make like 1044 points.

So what is the RNG Roll?

0001-0999 it is on PQs.

I entered RvR when inter came down and lord was killed.
Capped no BOs and killed around 20 destros.
For my roll I got +50.
So my estimation is that you get +50 for just showing up without any BOs or Keep Action.
If you then roll a 999 you will have a good chance for a bag.

What are you people so confused about? Contribution hasn't changed.

Kills. Healing. BO's (cap and def). Resources. Damage on the Keep Lord.

You can earn up to 500 contribution.

You random roll 1-1000. Get lucky.

I think its the fact that you keep tying obtaining gear to a system like that what confuses people the most.

Live started like this and changed it because how horrible it is to rely on rng to get it, so you going back to it confuses the hell out of us.
