Engi or SW help me decide

As with any other game, I can't make up my mind on what to play. I'm torn between Engi and SW. Which does better damage? Can take a bit better? The most versatile? Better for solo leveling? Thanks in advance.

The one is a super good locking guy with a handgun, the other an elf.

And you cant build a gunline with a bow.

Both have somewhat Equal damage depending on the Spec you choose. SWs have the highest single-target attack(Festering Arrow) which requires an M2 and VoN for max damage(capped at 4k). Whereas the Engi can attack from much further away, and probably has the better durational spike rotation(if we are taking Morales into account) But DPS will depend on your style for both.

Both have different abilities for "tankiness". SW can swap stances which Doubles your armor, but the Engi by and large will be tankier, with the SW having the better Kiting abilities.

Both are incredibly Versatile. You can play them nearly any way that you can imagine.

I would say the Engi might be easier for Solo lvling, but I was able to fester bomb my way to 40 on a SW pretty quick, but it did take some kiting in the lower lvls. Engi is super easy.

Comes down to Style more than anything. Go watch a few video's of the different classes, and check out the Sub forums for indepth info on both classes.

Generally though. Do you want to play a Dwarf? Do you Love Dwarves? Does being short, fat, and having the appearance of shattered legs on your Gyrocopter make you giddy? If no, then roll the SW. (Jk)

Honestly, I would suggest rolling both. If you start to get annoyed, or wonder about one switch to the other. That will help to put both into perspective pretty quickly for you. Just remember that lower tiers doesn't necessarily equate to end-game.

When in doubt, play a goblin. Goblins are the best!

Engi naturally, you can play it as a tank (Piippu never forgetti), or as a healer (keg party yay) or as a dps (snipe them from a distance where they cannot even detaunt you)

The class is almost as versatile as a marauder.

On on the other hand, SW do not look like midgets so thats a big plus.

Engi is somewhat a stationary big cannon while sw need to be kiting and swapping stances to be more effective. At this stage of the game id say engi/magus is a better choice

I play a healer and I just LOL and let PUG people die when they're stupid. Play what you want and if you want to live, don't be stupid. SW more viable for roaming RvR because much better mobility. IMO the realm has too few SW that are willing to assist another DPS and debuff the **** out of the targets.

If i have to choose between the two it would be SW.

Mostly because I believe it to be more fun for me to play.
