Renown Rank and Lair Drops

Is there a correlation? Would one be better off waiting til close to RR 20 (18-20) to camp lairs, or would one be better off camping before even getting into double-digit RR? I've no foundation or specific observances for this question, nor do I have an inkling regarding what factors DO account, if other factors than total randomness, even effect these drops; just curious.

The most important part should be RvR zone -> AutoRvR flag -> Great fights for the boss.
