RDPS vs Melee DPS

I think RDPS having higher damage than melee is totally wrong. They already have advantage of being ranged and so much control that avoiding being attacked in close clombat isn't a big problem, why to give them a damage boost as well?

"Melee" is a very generic term. I think mDPS classes have enough tools to catch rDPS. Also mDPS have normally a much higher damage output then rDPS, once they catch the target.
RDPS high damage abilities have mostly buildup times, where mDPS skills are instant + they have high autoattack damage.

Edit: I guess this topic is about general game balance, not only T1?

Mmm, on original server, i was playing a sorcerer and i remember we could kill a target with a good combo of skills ( not a tank or a heal ) with a risk of blackmana return. On the other side, i remember that Witch Hunter and White lions were our plague, and kill sorcerers in a second leaving no chance to escape. Magus is more a supply on RvR and doesn't kill anybody alone. Squig herder has some skill very powerfull, but i haven't playd him alot, and have no real ideas about his weak points. For Order side, i can't tell.

My conclusion is that some mdPs seems to be overpowered, but they are really weak.

I think it's more from the viewpoint of a tank class, then from a mDPS. :)
