Never played before a few questions while it downloads

I used to play WoW pvp. I really liked bgs and pvp in general. Wondering if this is anything like wow pvp or what it is like? I like to play casters usually in recommendations on a caster to choose? I liked boomkin casters the most in wow if that helps.

Here's a look at what some more coordinated Open Realm vs. Realm pvp action might look like.
WAAAAGH!
Shaman/ Landy - rr80
BG/ Killadelph - rr70

Warhammer online: RoR is centered mainly about PvP. You have scenarios(BGs equivalent) and open RvR areas. Do not expect RoR would be similar to WoW. If You dont play in premade groups, fight is much faster than in WoW and If you are not guarded by tank(dmg is split between You and tank by 50%/50%) and You dont get heals from healers, You can die in 3-4 seconds by certain classes. WoW has more and deeper CC abbilities and more survivable tools on nearly every characters. If You like boomkin caster, You might enjoy Magus, Sorceres(both magic dmg dealing RDPS archetype) on destro side or Bright wizard(magic dmg dealing RDPS archetype), dps Archmage(healer archetype) on order side.

I have played WoW for couple of months, when Warhammer online died, and during that period I didnt get in to it any deeply. Maybe because my first char was Feral druid which was (in my opinion) hard to master.

RDPS classes are the easiest choices for first time players. You will be far away from combat (or at least you should be), and the damage you can deal is great. BW (bright wizard) is by far your best bet when it comes to casters.

There is also another caster class that kills on range. ;)
