Latency question

I'm super excited to try RoR! I loved when the game was live, from release through the day it shut down I had a blast. Was really sad to see it go (curse you EA and GW).

I just downloaded the client and the launcher, but haven't made a character yet.

It looks like destro has much higher pop? I usually like to play underdog (as I did in daoc too). Found it more fun harassing / outsmarting the zerg.

My only question before I get rolling was how is the latency? I see there's only one server, so that had me curious where it's located?

Can anyone in EST time zone (southeast US to be more specific) comment on what the latency is like from there?

Thanks and look forward to the WAAAAAAGH!

Hey bud -- I live in Atlanta. Most of the time it's fine. Sometimes you'll have some trouble in melee where on your screen the enemy will be in range, but they're actually not. I'd say it's a non-issue about 95% of the time.

The biggest problem is that no VPN I've used for games does not work for about 5 months now.

The server ports do not respond and there are no options.

After MID tier, lag is real!

There is no "underdog" side

The population switches from side to side all the time
