Hello,

I'm wondering if the difference of behaviour between RoR and Live regarding how Detaunt works
is intentional, and if this change is definitive.

Im refering to the fact that any previously cast dots damage breaks Detaunt.

To be honest i see no valid reason to keep it the way it is now. The live implementation of Detaunt seemed more logical.

The current implementation is the source of a lot of frustration, especially when trying to use Detaunt in a reactive way, on classes relying on dots.
Especially classes having a long duration dots (shaman/am's lifetap heal is 24 sec duration), or classes with aoe dots (magus/engy..).
It is almost impossible to make a good reactive use of detaunt for those, any previously cast dot damage breaking detaunt every 1-3sec.

Also, It seem Detaunt is currently breaking on AutoAttack damage...

Any feedback of the devs regarding that matter ?

The difference is intentional. It got changed in a patch several weeks ago.

This has already been discussed to death on other threads, so now that I answered your question I will just lock this thread.
