Hi all,
I would like to know if there are any plans to change the T2/T3/T4 rvr merge ?
I've rolled a lot of different chars and I really feel like the fun is gone after T1 when even with the good bonus of going to lvl 48, for some classes, it s just not enough (and for some it is...). I ve been talking with some other T1/T2 players and a lot of them are feeling the same. And I repeat, I'm pretty sure it is very class dependent (some are fun to play even against T4 players even for a fresh T2 player, some are really not). The lack of some important skills can do all the difference at low lvl.
I don't know, maybe something like this :
T1 stay with 1 to 15.
T2 and T3 merged (16 to 31) . It means that T3 players (until lvl 31) can go to T2 and T2 players can have a small boost to go to T3 if they re willing to.
T4 players (32+) can't go T3 but allow T3 to go to T4 with a boost if they want to.
I have lvl 40 and some 30's chars, and some low level chars in progress. Just to say.

We've had that for months, it was just as dead as ever. Not going back.
If anything we would make adjustments to the rate at which you gain certain class defining skills, but many of those require the ability to patch to have a comprehensive overhaul.

Ok I understand, I thought that there were more T4 players now than before. I think that maybe some players new to the game could just be a little frustrated after reaching T2 and so, just leave the game.
Anyway, no problem, keep up the good work!
Thank you for bringing back WAR!

I think having T2 stand on it's own would be fine while maintaining T3 and T4 merged. There is just such a huge gap between T1 players skill level and T3-T4 that even with the boost the player is cannon fodder for weeks and thus really learns nothing about his/her class role until finally achieving RR40+. I agree with the idea that some players might get bored/frustrated shortly after the jump from T1 to the currently merged T2-4 and lose interest in game or never fully acquire the skills as a player to to competently compete.
But of course this is from a limited observation from my own play experience as I have no idea what the numbers really are.

What are the reasons behind those T2-T3-T4 merges ? Why not just bolster people to 40 when they enter T4 ?

Because there is a whole world in t2 and t3 that you can play through.lyks wrote:What are the reasons behind those T2-T3-T4 merges ? Why not just bolster people to 40 when they enter T4 ?

T4 already has many zones, and those were designed for T4-like populations..dansari wrote:Because there is a whole world in t2 and t3 that you can play through.lyks wrote:What are the reasons behind those T2-T3-T4 merges ? Why not just bolster people to 40 when they enter T4 ?
I see no valid reason for forcing those poor lowbies to play in the competitive world of t4. As T4 a player im tired having to play vs undergeared lowbies that drop so easily. Where is the challenge ? If they want to come, fine.. but else.. well, i feel bad for them

The tier merge was and is amazing! Low tiers were pretty dead before

Wars rank system is a broken mess in general. Its trying to force two levelling systems, one designed for pve mmos, into a rvr game. Really there should be just renown rank and tier. Once you level up to the next renown tier you get all the stats, spec points and abilities for that tier.

Merged tiers are better than dead ones IMO. Bolster helps. Makes gearing up easier too. Can collect Conq/officer medals so you can buy some gear when you hit t4. And win the occasional gold bag on your lowbie (or 4...)
