Class Choice

So i'm not looking for the op class. I'm looking for a class that can solo really well (solo roam, pvp) and still be semi useful for a group. I really don't care if order or destruction. From what I've seen it comes down to basically IB/BG for tanks, SW/SH for rdps, and WL/Mara for mdps. IF anyone has any luck with anything else besides those mentioned please give your opinion. I'm willing to put alot of time into whatever class I decide to main. Doesn't matter which role.

Chosen are fairly idiot proof for solo.

Couldnt tell if this was a troll or not.. But honestly every tank fits your description and actually basically every class as well. I would say only the BW/Sorc and Choppa/Slayer are the odd men out. But thats why they shine so brightly in group play.

I would say pick whatever class you want and if you lvl it enough and learn it enough youll be able to 1v1 and group play all you want.

SW, great solo class with usefull tools for grp play [leading shots, ap regen for example].
WL, op solo, not that usefull in big grp plays but for small scale awesome too [heal/armor debuff, pull].
SM, best dps on tanks, doin fine solo and in grp [WW/Bubble for grp plays awesome, also 4th best healer on order with 2 healing tactics :D]
SM 82 / IB 82 / KOTBS 82 / WL 82 / WP 72 / SW 75
CH 77 / BG 6X / BO 6X / WE 6X / MAG 6X ...and others.

you want solo ganking people ? or just having fun without being grouped in general?
if latter, try shammy, its actually fun throwing heals at random people and getting renown for it, without responsibility, while having some kiting tools to leave a fight when you dont want to
if first, try SM/BG/BO/IB - you can kill people solo but still welcomed in warbands, unlike WH/WE/WL/SH
mara can work too

As said, shaman is fun. AM is fun too. Both are good in group and fun (if not decent) in solo mode.

I also quite enjoyed my engineer. Spec whatever, bring a keg, and you are good to go. It's not very useful in what is left of competitive play, but its fun for everything else. So is magus.

Pro WH and WE do well in all kind of situation except WB. That's an idea too.

Choose any class you like and just level them up but for me SW is best one!

Can always lead a wb, no matter the class. Creating, leading, and maintaining a wb is just as important as top of the line classes.

Shaman have plenty of options and ways to configure it. Much better soloer than Squig Herder ( in 1vs1 and 1vs X ), no need to go full glass cannon plus a good shaman is always welcomed in a group.
I guess AM is inthe same spot ( dont have one xD ).

PD: Seen melee Magus xD doing fairly gud lately ( scary sh*it )
