upgrading to DX12

Hello

I was wondering is it possible to upgrade the current game into DX12 in future. I think this will solve all the lag issue in orvr crowded area since DX12 have the ability to use all the cores of CPU and not limited like DX9

I really hope its possible and can be done in future updates

RvR lag is caused by clientside collision detection.

If you're having issues with lag check out the forum post addressing it. Turning off names/lowering chat log cache worked wonders for me.

This game use DX v9 so it's not easy change framework. But i belive for ROR Developers like Steave Ballmer ;-).

Put Client chat scroll limit in rvr to 120 instrad 2000 and client will lag a lot less.

Doing this would limit the game to only people running Windows 10, which I am not a fan of (putting it mildly); DX12 is exclusive to W10. I think anyway.

I understand thats main reason for stutters in keep fights or clash of WBs at bos, but is it the same for traveling across Main Square in Altdorf or Apex in IC?

No, its not the graphics. Its like little pauses ingame when u getting close to AH in Altdorf coming from street that leads to library. Same pauses are when u passing gate just before Apex (havnig flight master at your back). And that pauses dont stop until you leave Martyr Square area or IC Apex square.
