Hello guys, Kaspersky is detecting as a Trojan the RoRLauncher.exe Anyone knows why? Same with Avast, Norton, etc... Idk if its a false report or a true Trojan. Anyone else had that problem? I'm not saying that someone put a virus on it but, same as cracks, the antivirus detects it as a virus.
(I'm not going to delete it, I just wanted to know if I should ignore it or exclude it).
Thanks!

Don`t you know?
The launcher is a trojan so the devs can hack your Account and steal all your gold
But honestly ... delete Kaspersky its one of the worst AntivVir out there.
Just whitelist the Launcher

Re: RoRLauncher.exe detected as a Trojan?
Been having the same issues but on Windows defender (win 10) for like the past 3-4 days.
Any solutions?

It's false positive.
For windows defender you can do a folder exclusion: https://wiki.nus.edu.sg/display/DA/Add+ ... ity+Center
Exclusion rules for Kaspersky: https://support.kaspersky.com/12160

Re: RoRLauncher.exe detected as a Trojan?
But why it only started to happen since a few days ago? Is it possible that the launcher was reported multiple times to some virus db (that all virus scanners are using as a database)? Is there a chance to remove it? What if that z file is truly a trojan? I think this is so far the largest threat to this project, this could seriously diminish the number of players playing... especially new ones who just install the game and not aware of "fale alerts".

Re: RoRLauncher.exe detected as a Trojan?
One thing to note about the Window defender exclusion it doesn't actually kick in till you reboot the system. Whatever you do do not whitelist the trojan. Use the link Hargrim supplied to whitelist the folder.
oh and i had same problem no matter what AV i used it was flagging the file.

This is because we released new version of launcher over the weekend.
Why this happen was explained before - launcher exe is obfuscated and when AV can't really see what it does it flags whole program as a virus. It will be classified correctly (as a non threat) in a few days.

Re: RoRLauncher.exe detected as a Trojan?
I have contacted Kaspersky with details so hopefully they will whitelist it soon.
