I'm level 40, where to start to gear up ?

Hello,
As the title suggests I've reached lvl 40 this week end thanks to the xp boost with my WP and IB.
I have at the moment a full set of ruin on both character. Where should i start to gear up ? I know there are some epic quests I should do but which one ?

Or should i maybe try to farm RP in order to buy a pvp set ?

Just go for sc. U must need sc weapon. What class u are?

As stated, get some mates together and go for Beastlord.

Check the forum stickies for the tome unlock jewelry guide as Winds Inperious is a good set for allot of classes prior to the rvr grind.

Make a topic in the race section for advice on specific classes and specs

If you loath PvE like a lot of us, you can still get geared fairly quickly in rvr.

Gather as many conq meds as you can and break them down to officers for annihilator. Remember, you can also buy 2 pieces on the AH, allowing you to gear up very quickly.

If you level off of sc/rvr, your renown should be high enough (~35) to wear an entire set of annihilator/merc.

I can only speak for IB but heres how I recommend doing it:

In roughly this order....

Winds impervious set
doesnt take long and real easy!
look up the guide online and grab yourself some good jewels till you get Genesis jewels from blue bags in RvR

T4 epics
I cant remember which quest gives which but look up the guides online and get these done asap so you have good weapons till Subjugate / SC weapons
I go with Stone-anvil with vengeance(1h axe) + earthsplitter (2h)
(sheild has a gear print on, think 1h has spirit damage proc, not sure if i got the names quite right but you will know when you see it)

Beastlord set (BL)
This is must have!
this gives helm, shoulders, chest, cloak, ring and pocket item.
mix the set with Anhi boots n gloves and your good till Conq / Dom gear

Anhi / Merc
While waiting to do BL jump in the RvR lakes and earn bags but also Q for SCs if you want merc / dom gear
generally you want to get in as many bag rolls as possible to speed up gearing.

Gen + subj weps
Genesis jewels..
3 everlasting (2 jewel + cape) + 2 undying for SnB spec
or
3 everlasting +2 warrior for dps spec

Conq / dom
These will come in time but try not to break down emblems if you can help it, especially SC emblems.

with Conq alot of people advise against buying any pieces till you have enough to buy it all due to if you buy "sod's/murphy's law" says the piece you just bought will be in the next gold bag.
personally i bought boots, gloves n belt early so i could run it with BL gear but since then ive have 4 pairs of boots drop.

N.B
I will advise sticking with SnB spec till at least rr50 and geared with atleast merc + some gen to go 2h. after RR60 you have the points to really play around with a survivable 2h spec that can solo. dont let that stop you though if you have a good group, it can be alot of fun swinging a massive hammer around and aoe punting people.

(This is my personal opinion so it may not be %100 exact best in slot but should give a good guide to start with)
