No Idea what to Play

Hi Guys, I have no idea what to play.

All the classes have Unique mechanics, and they all look fun. I have no idea whats in Demand, if I should go Order or Destruction, Tank, Heal, ranged, Melee, which mechanics are good in Solo PvE, Group Play, and RvR.

Please Help! They all look fun and I've got nothing over level 5 as I can't decide and keep making new characters.

Any Recommendations?

My recommendation is to not overthink it. Play whatever and as you learn the game you will start to realize what you want to play.

Tank is a good place to start. But healers and RDPS arent bad either. MDPS might not be the best place to start, but if you have a lot of experience with PvP in other games you might be ok.

You can make anything work in any aspect of the game as long as you dont try to fit a square peg in a round hole.

I'd lean towards healer just to feel the game out. Even a bad or rookie healer is generally a net positive. Just heal over time (hot) the living hell out of everything.

I wouldn't rush it. There's no need to decide on a main in the next day or two - the game isn't going anywhere, and playing in T1 is fun for most people, especially those who are new. Playing to level 5 won't give you any idea what any class will be like later in the game, so spend a few days/sessions playing on a few different classes until you hit level 14 or so. By then, you should have some idea how the character will play out in the long game, and you can make your decision better then. Nothing wrong even then with leveling a couple of different characters together, playing each when you feel like it, or deciding which realm is the underdog that day and playing the other side. From personal experience, there are a few classes I just don't enjoy much, but I only learned that after trying them. Again, you don't have much to lose by just fooling around for a while.

Play whatever class seems cool to You up to level 10 or 15 and decide if it fits to your expectation. Any class can be fantastic in right hands no matter if order or destro.

Maybe start with a questions, do you like to heal, or dps or tank? From there you can narrow down which class you wanna play. Just play the ones that you most enjoy playing.

Like he said, start by choosing an archetype to narrow down the selection. Do I want to deal dmg or heal peeps? From there let your feelings towards a class in terms of aesthetics and such come into play.
Most of the people here have multiple characters, so don't worry and start with something because sooner or later you will want to play the other side or another class anyway.
