Is it tolerated to cap the BOs from underneath the flag in Gates of Ekrund?

I have the impression this is a bug exploit, and it gets somewhat frustrating when people do it even though they are rolling our faces 20 vs 10... (sigh)

Not that I'm permissive of the idea myself, but if they got you 20v10, does it really matter? If they do it when you outnumber them, then when you realize they're doing it, you go down there and squash them. If its more than one, say, six like what I saw yesterday, it means they're not capping their own flag in the supply room and they're hurting themselves more than you.

The capping of the flag is not an issue. SC balance is. The Devs are aware of it, we've bitched about it enough. If they can fix it, I'm sure they will. They play the SC's right along with us and suffer the same frustrations.

I fully understand your point Bigx. I guess it is just that I have always been frustrated by people exploiting bugs, whether on this server or the original ones.

And I agree with you, sc balance can be far more frustrating.

I feel the way it works now makes me more on my toes, personally, going under the BO to check, using the entire map instead of just going to AC, GS, SR and then it's done. Now atleast people are going sneaking around when they're the underdogs trying to lure them away in a more "strategic" manner. But might just be me adapting to a glitch/bug/whatever. I don't mind really.

It is an exploit. I ask people not to do it, but obviously I can't go all nazi on people for doing it.

In the same way that Auto attack is not affected by line of sight, and AOE damage goes through walls. People are lazy and got not self dignity.

I didn't know it was. I've been doing it a lot. It was pretty much one of my biggest strategies in GoE. I do have dignity and honor as well. I'll stop doing it as of this moment

RE: bugged capping @Elven: I didn't know it was bug, and will become a 'town crier' about this to guildies til none of us does it with intention. Tyvm for letting us know. @OP & BigX: I just adapted, after many frustrating, and some humiliating, losses and now when recapping/checking cap status I automatically move to the area above where the bug can be exploited and start hitting my hotkey for "target nearest enemy", many times targetting the culprit and forcing a flee or giving surprise to an afk exploiter

RE: flag state continuum banner: if it's not seen (even if the BO flag geometry is invisible), keep circling/strafe circling the (where) flag (should be) and without fail the continuum banner/BO flag model eventually appears.
