Launcher trouble

Getting this message when I try to restart game after exiting:

Error starting: System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'D:\Program Files (x86)\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\WAR.exe' because it is being used by another process.

Need a complete system restart to launch, so I'm guessing a process is not shutting down correctly?

Is your launcher in the same folder like the WAR.exe and not in a special folder?

Run launcher as Administrator, make sure the folder isn't set to "read only".

This can be done by right clicking the game folder > properties > uncheck "Read Only" > OK.

Yes, launcher is in the same folder and worked fine up until last 24 hours. This problem only occurs after I exit game, and try to restart. On first run of game everything works fine. After every exit from game now I have to restart pc if I want the launcher to work.

The server was down for 5 minutes. Should be ok to log now.

This isn't a problem initially launching the game, it only happens after I have logged off from RoR and then attempt to re-launch. For instance I start PC up, launch RoR, play some SCs no problem, shut the game down (due to combat bug etc.), attempt launch again, and I get the above error message from the launcher. I have to restart my PC to able to get back in game. It seems to me that a process associated with the client or the launcher is not terminating on shut down.

I had the same problem. I just restarted my PC and everything worked fine again.

I have tried this, but I am finding it difficult to determine which process is causing the problem. The launcher and client appear to terminate correctly in the task manager when I close them, but I still get the error message when I attempt to restart. I am going to try a restore to see if that get rid of the problem.
