Looking for some input

Hey folks, I recently decided to give this a shot, but I'm at a loss as to what would be fun to play. Back in retail I mained a 2h Chosen and dabbled with melee healing DOK. From what I've been reading, 2h Chosen is basically dead and melee healing dok is just a bad time.

Nowadays my time is much more spread out, and I can only play a couple of hours (at best) late at night on the East Coast. I don't have any friends or groups to play with, so I will mostly be playing solo and in pugs. Hoping for suggestions as to what would be worth my time to invest in and would be fun. I also wouldn't mind finding a guild/friends to run with, if I can. (I also have no preference to faction, Destro is just what the game suggested when I logged in)

Thanks for any tips and suggestions, and have a great day.

I dunno anything about 2h chosen, I see them around though, so they can't be THAT bad if there're people playing them regularly lol the sacrifice DoK is a blast imo, but doesn't really get good until you get transfer essence at rank 30 iirc. The base melee heal has SUCH a poor range, but it CAN heal out of group if people are stacked tightly. They aren't great for warband play either, because they need a to slap a target to heal effectively and there aren't many melee targets during a keep siege lol That being said, I've had several scenarios at top damage AND healing when I've had guard support, though without guards and/or when focused by range you tend to crumple as your regular heals are spectacularly mediocre. It tends to be good 1v1 or 1v2 as well, had several fun fights earlier today which ended close with me v 2 or 3. This is all pre 40 though, so this experience may change come t4 play. Welcome back to WAR!

Thank you for your response! I'm still trying out all the different classes, seeing how they feel, but I have this nagging in the back of my mind to just try out the DOK and see how it goes. Glad it's been fun for you and has worked out for you, though!
