So like a lot of the fresh blood that's found this game in the last few weeks I've been noticing a pretty..fun killing thing about this game. That Destro sucks ass at nearly everything.
Does this faction always just get stomped in everything from t1-t4? In a week of playing both RVR and SC's Destro has maybe won 7-8~ times total, while order almost always just steam rolls

Re: New player woes with SC's
This is really back and forth. Both sides can see this happen and it all depends on what regions of the world are playing at that time, and when the different guilds have their warbanding evenings. Both sides also think their own side sucks and cant do anything right. So my tip to you is to try and find a guild and play with them. You will find it very enjoyable to have larger groups to play with (I hope!)
Peace!
Peace!

The Order players are probably saying the same thing about Destruction right now. It's just bad luck.
Re: New player woes with SC's
If you go make a order char and que, you will have the exact same experience.

I won like 90% + of T4 scenarios (no premade) on destro this weekend, went from rr64 to rr74 just playing scenarios and maybe 2 - 3 forts and few rvr kills
gotta say x2 rr event helps a lot

So no, destro doesn't suck

Re: New player woes with SC's
All it takes is 3 players using tactics and utalizing the game mechanics to the fullest to absolutely wreck an SC.
Melee squig with a chosen and a zealot can 3v8 easily if the opposing team is splitting attacks and not properly cycling CC and anti healing.
This game has a VERY high skill cap and with double XP people are being pushed into content they are just not prepared for. I didn't know about renown points untill I was level 22 for example

It also doesn't help that the lack of easy access information online makes the Badlands look like lustria.

And for an order example
Slayer/Ironbreaker/warrior priest. This has been my combo and I'm sure I've "ruined" many peoples experience these past few days.
It's all about teamwork. This game benefits from voice comms more than any FPS game.

Re: New player woes with SC's
I've been winning 40-50% of my solo SC this week.
Like others have said, you probably just had bad luck playing at a time when there were a lot of enemy premades in SC or RvR.
Teamwork, coordination, and combined with learning the classes/having good gear & build setup is HUGE in this game. I would highly recommend finding a guild that does organized Warbands and SCs, and learn from the experienced players. It will be like night and day how much better your experience will become!

Like others have said, there's a lot you can do to improve your chance of winning.
One observation I've had - particularly in T2/T3 scenarios:
Folks won't fix parties. The game randomly loads you into parties, and it's up to you as a scenario team to make sure (1) tanks are in the same party as the mdps, (2) each party has a healer, (3) buffs are spread out (e.g., 4 DOKs in one party means one covenant is wasted), etc.
You can easily coordinate this in /sc chat and by clicking the little white flag by the minimap...
