I'm having a tough time trying to decide what to play. I only get the opportunity to play a few hours a week, and I have nobody to play with. I was hoping to get some input on what would be a solid solo/pug class to play. I'm not faction loyal, and I have no preference on role, I just don't want to be dead weight if/when I get to the "end game."
Thank you for your assistance.
Looking for some advice, please.

Engineer/magus is a pretty good pick up and play class. BW/sorc can be as well but is more healer dependant.

Orc Shaman, I've heard from many people (including those who don't even main it), as an amazing solo class. You won't currently be "meta" at endgame, but you will still be great for smaller roaming group, scenario play, and 6 man composition. WE/WH is great also for lonewolves since you can get out out danger rather easily, don't expect to be meta in warband but def has a spot in 6 man/scenario.
If you care more about being "meta" for most things, I think DoK is a great candidate, more tanky healer that also have very decent damage specs (the mirror AM class does have more damage potential). As mentioned before Magus/Eng is another good solo class but YMMV if you don't like having a pet mechanic.
I wouldn't say Sorc/BW is a good solo class mainly because they are very dependant on having a guard/healer to stay alive, they do extremely good damage but also die very quickly if they're not with a tank and/or healer.

Re: Looking for some advice, please.
I've never really worried about the meta, mostly just want to be able to pull my weight and didn't want to pick something that might be gimped currently. On live, I played a 2h Chosen and a melee DoK healer, and I very much enjoyed both of those. I made a DoK again, just wasn't sure how they handled now.R3xz wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2020 5:17 am Orc Shaman, I've heard from many people (including those who don't even main it), as an amazing solo class. If you are a healer or tank you will never be deadweight.
Same if you are a slayer on order.
