Can't create a new character, name always invalid or duplicate

I can't seem to create a character, all the names I put in are considered invalid or duplicate, I even tried the random generator and it doesn't work.

Any idea ?

I know this sounds like I'm avoiding the subject, but try another name. Last time I helped someone with this problem, when they tried a new name, or a new way of spelling the name, they were able to create the character.

I tried relaunching the game, it's my first character.
I've tried so many names now, random characters just to be sure that no one else has this name, but I can't figure out how to finalize my character creation
