If you want to deal damage, Chosen is better.
If you want to annoy people, then Knight is better.

Chosen deals much more damage, has self morale pump (on block, so not for 2H) and has better heal debuff aura.
Knight has better "passive" effects (+5-10% crit, +15% healing taken for party) and better CC (extra interrupt and AoE snare).

Knight is not better overall. Knight is very good at turtleing, as is Chosen if you spec for it. Knight can’t really spec for dps whereas Chosen dps is quite viable - assuming you have the gear for it.

Kobs is far better because chosen basically only comes out ahead of knight in damage, and if you want meaningful damage on a tank class, you wouldn't be going for either chosen or kobs in the first place.

Lets compare SnB Knight with SnB Chosen:

Knight:

• Has extra interrupt.
• Gives +5% crit for party due Dirty Tricks.
• Gives +15% healing taken due to Focused Mending.
• Can have Vigilance (-50% damage taken for 10s / 30s CD).
• Can have Solar Flare - you don't need it on every Knight in WB.

Chosen:

• Has AoE wounds debuff.
• Group wide Bane Shield with Dire Shielding.
• Corrupting Horror can be actualy useful (unlike To Victory!).
• Has -25% healing taken aura, which doesn't require enemy healers to be bad.
• Destined to Victory allows faster rotation of Distracting Bellows, or joining to morale dump faster.

Now lets summarize. Knight will give better support for his team indeed. However, Chosen can literaly cancel any bonuses applied by Knight, as +15% healing taken is easily cancelled by -25% healing taken from Chosen aura (as it does work differently than Knight heal debuff aura), same goes for extra +5% crit when your team has to face Distracting Bellows (-50% damage done) since early fight until its very end, due to DtV tactic. AoE wounds debuff is just cherry on top of it, and please, don't come at me with "...but Sigmar's Grace" as it should be removed by your tanks from focused targets.

Not really, both are equally viable.

I think that dude was talking about smallscale/sc 2h chosen/kotbs and not orvr. In my opinion when it comes to smallscale KOTBS is a better option because of 15% more healing (not cancelled by -25% less healing aura from chosen because no one uses it in smallscale) and aoe snare, the additional damage chosen can do does not make up for not having those two tactics.

The guy said he wants to know about '2h dps'. To which i replied that chosen has better damage than kobs, but comparing the overall use of their 2h specs is so skewed towards kobs that it's not even close.

Kobs has an extra interrupt
15% healing
they get a wounds debuff too
they get an aoe snare
they get an increased chance for targets to be crit (aoe)

All of which is more useful than what a chosen can do for their group.

2h kobs is basically most of the good stuff from chosen and BG rolled into one, just without damage. But you wouldnt be taking a Kobs or chosen if you wanted your tank for damage anyway,
