Best way to play a magus?

I've been playing my magus for a while but I always seem to get hammered in RvR, is there a specific way you're suppose to play them or are they just generally crap?

the important ting to do is make sure your aware of your sorrounding if the enemy is closing in on you or not, depening on your gear and your enemy you can win 1v1 fight if your daunt and cycle your abilities right when fighting from range always gleam magic to strip spritual stats it really helps chosens, and other caster rdps like sorcs as well as making all your attacks hit harder

As I posted in other treads- magus, played right, is a caster tank.

Back at live, the way I played one was maxed toughness/armor, mix sets for double toughness bonus (at t4), Close Quarters for 50% cast time at melee range, and racial absorb glued in. On 70 sh magus I had close to 4 k armor, 800 or so toughness, full Trivial Blows, and orange resists- more defense then lot of tanks. While still having rdps dmg. Tend do give order running to me for a free rr a little bit of surprise :p

On RoR server atime lot of things aren't available- toughness talis/armor pots for example, however you do have the Daemonic Armor buff, and racial absorb tactic. Max toughness with equip, and remember that while Daemonic Maw sure eats AP fast, it does comes with a hardcore dps. Make sure to hit them with Glean Magic before for resist debuff.

Go in, throw buffs, go out, throw longer range buffs, let them catch u up, snare them then inmobilize, go out, throw buffs. Just take out of ur action bar all casts that are not instant one. Maybe, just maybe, Rend Winds can stay, but u are more interested in throw a million DoTs and AoE dmg so ur team can spot the weak parts of the enemy chain. Also, go Toughness if possible as secondary stats, dont over-stack Intelligence.
