Play-As-Monster 2.0

I discovered that any NPC can be played as a main toon, with most of the abilities wired to existing monster attacks. There are more then 200 unique NPCs in the game (many can equip weapons and armor also), this could open up a lot of possibilities in the future (Like world boss controlled by players). New abilities can be added also (abilities are defined in of data.myp/bin/abilityexport.bin)

tbt this would be awesome for the role players if this could be added as a feature it could add a lot of immersion if their was some one who could control malekith, morthi etc

My thought would more have been about implementing Skaven as decent classes and having them as a kind of third faction.

I'm interested to hear about the potential for adding or modifying abilities, too. I don't relish the idea of having new functionality with old tooltips, should we rework anything in future.

Do you really think a third faction would work in War??
Don't get me wrong i played Daoc so i know how awesome a third faction would be but in War??? hmm...

Amazing stuff Londo, i could see some unique and fun events from this. Hopefully you can shine some light on the devs here on how the stuff you figured out works :D

Best option would be to add a scenario queue to play as world boss. I would probably also preserve existing career abilities of currently logged in character (Like city champs, with renown training, and mastery preserved, grant few additional world boss abilities, and make everyone an enemy. I hated moba style skaven that Mythic did, no one wants to play dumbed down career)

A lot of fun could be head with boss abilities. Like ability to resurrect dead players as zombies, making them an enemy of both realms. (So zombie players are fighting with the world boss).
