Need help to improve my Chalice DoK

Hey!

I'm running a Chalice DoK with this build RoR.builders - Disciple of Khaine and in Renown I got 3pts in FS, 4/4 Parry and 4/4 DD. My armor gear is a mix between Vanq/Invader and jewelry is Invader/Genesis Curative and a cloak with Willpower, toughness and Heal crit. I got in Vanq the Willpower/Wounds/Career Resource bonus and from Invader Wounds/Willpower bonus. I got a mix between 137-180 armor talis in the armor, and in weapon and chalice I got 23 wounds.

I have 8.5k hp unbuffed and about 850 Willpower with Discipline tactic. Think I got over 10% heal crit. But tbh I feel that my healing output is lackluster. Especially in ranked mode. The dmg most grps put out is extremly hard to keep teammates alive with. I always use Khaine's Invigoration when not on CD, Khaine's Vigor and Khaine's Embrace. Divine Favor m1, Soul shielding and cleanse with Efficient Patching tactic.

I also sometiems feel rather squishy when focused even with Terrifying Aura tactic. Wth am i doing wrong? How can I compete with a WP that can output so much more healing with their 20% increased healing proc?

Using +660 armor pot and usually liniment with wounds and healing power.

Need help or I will bench this class and focus on something else.

As a DoK burst healing is not particularly your forte and you kind of have to rely on the zealot to cover that, unless you have several seconds ahead of time to stack your hots on the target. You also should have Soul Infusion on everyone, in your party.

And i don't like fueled actions, because the only time you really get use out of it is when you are getting your **** pushed in and are being focussed, which means you can use Pillage Essence or Essence Lash anyway.

As far as the squish goes i believe 137-180 are some of the cheaper armor talis, while your oponents could very well(and probably are) rock a ton of weapon skill/inate armor penetration both flat and in %s. But i can understand why you don't put the 200g+ ones into vanq. +24wounds or even toughness could be cheaper alternatives. And I'd recommend getting your full Invader on, before you get into minmaxing with SoV

Your heal crit is low
You don’t need points in parry
Instead of going into middle tree grab Pillage Essence from the right tree.

This is my 80's DoK build

I love that absorp tactic, especially along with Khaine's Refreshment, which is generally garbage, but can give you a semi-guaranteed absorp proc(Edit: Also, as Champ in City, KR is ridiculously OP. I think I was getting 1.4-1.6k crits with it? something crazy like that). Don't put points in Mid tree, if you are running Celerity it's for the snare proc, Vitality's healing is based on damage so technically the better spend.

RR wise(at 80) full heal crit, full deft defender, x2 FS. I slot ini/wounds/armor in sov/inv mix with Winds Impervious jewels. for 3k armor, 850 wounds, overcapped resistances and 2% chance to be crit unbuffed.

Gameplay wise, save your group shield for when it's needed. Essence Lash whenever you can hit more than 3 targets. Use Blood Offering as a single tick while moving occasionally.
Time movements between group heals, 1s cast and 1.4s(ish) GcD gives you .3s to move and still get "perfect" rotations.
Take an extra .5s to target the BEST target with your AoE detaunt, the closest isn't always the best. Try not to Essence Lash people you have Detaunted.
Remember that you regen resources via chalice while under Flee, so you can Flee/AP Pot, Essence Lash/Blood Offering then keep healing as you kite at 150% speed.
Use your M2 cleanse the moment your group get's an overwhelming amount of Debuffs. If you can't keep up with grp cleanse, and multiple friendlies have heal-debuff, pop it before you need it.
Your M4 can make or break Keep/Fort defenses. If you're in an organized group, time your M4 about halfway through the first tank IM, if PUGing, drop it early as opposed to late.

DoK/WP are the simplest of the healers, but positioning and knowing when to burst your resources, and when/how to sustain is what makes great ones.

For every class though, make sure you have Pots. x2 healing pots, x2 AP pots, Absorp, Flame, and Snare are my suggestions, but flame/snare is pretty optional.

That what i would suggest, you need atleast 25% crit, some would push for more than 30%. There are a lot of dok min-max builds, everyone runs things a bit differently.

for mastery build, as Astro said you want Pillage essence on right tree and you can use the 2-3 left points into middle to upgrade Cele cov but well

then armor talis and 2 wounds is fine, if you have some problem to survive you can run khaine bounty and bound by blood, those two and aoe detaunt really makes you tanky. that mostly when you are with pugs and you dont need aoe cleanse. Fueled action isnt that great, you shouldnt always use it. Discipline, Khaine bounty, Bound by blood, efficient patching, restored motivation and terrifying aura are the ones you want to use in your different builds.

in wb rvr/city play I suggest you to use Siphon M2, its a decent counter bombing/emergency button to save your party, and dok M4 for fort/keep pushes
