[WL] White Lion class description and Things I feal are not as they should be.

Hello,

Since it seems that all posts regarding changing a class receives a large amount of criticism about making the class or a specific mastery OP, I decided to point out thing that I think should not be, where they are now, as they are now. For all of You, who would like to add their thoughts to this endeavor, and point out those unfitting abilities and tactics please do.
I hope you enjoy this, and ad a creative discussion to it.

I'll start with the mastery that is considered the most balanced at this time:

TRAINED TO HUNT

This training revolves around balance between the WL and the Lion, providing equal stat distribution for the Pet from the White Lion Equipment (so pet receives 50% of statistics gained from Equpment of the WL which are: Strength, Weapon Skill, Wounds and Toughness, pet also receives full armor and resistances gained from gear.) Also, both WL and the Pet receives a chance to put a DOT effect on their target (effectiveness of DOT is based on the number of masteries point spend, and strength). Side note, it seems that Devs decided it will be the AOE tree for WL containing all of its AOE abilities here.
The encouraged play revolves around WL balancing its offensive and defensive statistics to improve the all-around availability of the pet and making both support each other. In this in mind I'll go thru the abilities and tactics and point out what I think is wrongly chosen to be placed in this mastery.

Masteries

Lionheart, removes Lion’s fury requirement, no strong objections here I just think it's not the place for it in Hunter Masteries.

Echoing Roar, AoE dot and interrupt place here because of its AOE dot effect. (If it's based on the effect of it Aoe status I would like to point out that SH AoE interrupt is placed in the Single target mastery tree.) Otherwise, skill that benefits from WL having its pet alive since the ability is supposed to have two sources WL and Pet.

Pack Hunting, increasing AA for WL, this tactic is a waste in this tree, since it doesn’t affect the AA of the pet (maybe increase AA for both, then its ok in here? If not move it to the mastery which revolves around WL being the DPS)

Force Opportunity, an armor debuff, not certain if it needs to be in this mastery.

Hack and Slash, 50% AP for 2 abilities and AP cost reducer for two others, for this mastery it's a must to have, pity it does not affect all skills from TTH – in this manner its forcing players to forgo their defenses, and build for more DPS (making the idea of this mastery wasted) if they do won't to use, any other abilities from this mastery, or just use these two abilities 24/7. (IMO it should also affect pet skills at least)

Whirling Axe, 3sec channeled AOE ability

General Skills

Coordinated Strike, ability for providing additional damage for Your and your pets target, it fits right in to the cooperation nature of the mastery

Hack, simple attack OK in here

Slash, AOE cone dmg

Lion’s Fury, a conditioned, elemental attack, not certain if needed it this mastery

Pet skills

Terrifying Roar, AoE AA 20% reducer

Claw Sweep, AoE cone attack

Bite, attack

TRAINED TO THREATEN

This training revolves around pet being a distraction and fulfilling a Tank role between the two, and WL being the DPS. The pet receives its defensive stats Toughness and Wound from WL DEFENCIVE stats, (for a DPS role it is supposed to have) pet also receives full armor and resistances gained from gear. Also, this training provides additional 5% crit from rear and back (masteries and stats don’t provide any bonus).

Masteries

Blindsided, 50% buildup given to an ability that require condition to be used – if the pet is a distraction then why not

Primal Fury, 25% dmg buff to WL from sides and rear – same as above

Thretening distraction, WL Hatred decrease – PVE only

Cull the Weak, conditioned attack that almost always crits

Full-Grown, Strength increases for WL and Wounds for Pet, not really certain what to think about it, the closest thing I have seen to it is the Monstro Mara toughness and initiative tactic.

Thin the Heard, conditional outgoing heal debuff (considered to be the weakest of all heal debufs on forum – no opinion on my side)

General Skills

Blindside, a conditioned attack that deals damage and procs a DoT

Sundering chop, attack that ignores some of the enemy armor

Shattering Blow, curse with a DoT, that can reduce the targets Strength if conditions are meet

Fey Illusion, – attack that reduces enemy AA and to some pve shenanigans – should not be in a DPS spec I think

Pet skills

Leg Tear, dot and slow

Shred, dmg and armor debuff

Lion’s Roar, ST taunt lasting 5 seconds

TRAINED TO KILL

This training revolves around WL being the Tanky one (dealing dmg in alternative way and providing additional bonuses) and pet being the DSP of the two. It provides offensive stats from equipment to the pet from WL OFFENCIVE statistics. It also provides the WL with toughness based on the amount of masteries points spend (50 to 80 not enough in my opinion, since for example KoTBS and Chosen can overpower it with their aura).

Masteries

Stalker, pve thingy, pet generates less hatred (useless I think, only thing I would like to point out is that SH gets its healing tactic in this spot)

Pounce, an AoE offensive gap closer – for a defensive and ST mastery seems out of place

Furious Mending, Healing over time while in this training (80-120 /5s both WL and pet)

Brutal Pounce pet attack and KD (pet required)

Baited Trap, increase defenses against spells (10% disrupt) and increase armor provides no defenses against ranged magical attacks like Poison Areer

Leonine Frenzy, 10s Pet buff that makes it immune to some CC (stun, slow, root) and provides additional DMG to its attacks every 0.5 sec

General Skills

Cleave Limb, Aliment Attack and slow ok for the distraction

Pack Assault, attack that providers party with bonus to their next attack (an alternative way of doing dmg right in place)

Throat Bite, pet attack provides additional dmg and silence effect tot pets next attack (pet required, an alternative way of doing dmg)

Bating Strike, attack with some pve shenanigans regarding hatred

Pet skills

Gut Ripper, damage and Dot effect

Maul, damage

Fang and Claw, two attacks dmg

To add additional information, I did not focus on Morale abilities, because these are a different matter to address, for the only single pet class in the game they are supposed to be different and unique. If you think they should be added to the mix pls go ahead. Just please don’t cherry pick them and compeer to other classes. Morales are spread too much around to be compared to each other.

Also, general abilities and tactics where not taken into consideration, but I will point out that they could also get a look and perhaps a refresh.
I encourage You to point out the abilities, that you think are not placed correctly for WL class.

I would like to point out, that some of the SH pets receive not the 100% amount of armor gained from Gear, but 200%, and around 150% of offensive stat in 1 case, which opens an option to potentially allow the Lion to benefit more from these in some trainings?

Sorry for my grammar, English is not my first language.
PS. Since WL doesn't have any active way of self-healing, I would postulate that Nature's Bond should affect WL and his pet, and maybe the effect should be tweaked a bit.
