DoK Curiosity
I have no interest in this, but me and my friend came back and we wanted to play our Dark Elves again, with me on a BG (Which I'm told is stupid apparently.) and him on his DoK, however he always liked it for the fact it was a dual wielding healer. Is that no longer a viable choice, since they.. added shields apparently to them? Just need to know so we can like.. decide if we even want to touch those characters.

Re: DoK Curiosity
You now have three distinct trees/play styles for DoK/WP - backline book/chalice healer, melee healer with shield which can put out some 'ok' dps too, or dps which is dual wield for DoK.
Which spec he'll need/want to run depends on what you want to do - just duo roam together or join bigger WBs, and PvE or PvP.
For duo roam PvP BG and DPS DoK is probably still a reasonable combo - you'll both be durable and he can put out some good DPS and self heal to an extent.
If you want to PvE melee heal DoK is godly.
If you're looking to be 2 members of a WB for large scale PvP he'll probably want to go chalice healer. Even though you could guard him, your role in a WB is to guard the DPS in your party, not your healer.
