Stuck before character selection

When I first open the launcher and log in, this message appears

The game then loads but i am stuck at the first screen with the steps and the tent and the flaming torches etc.
It then has the following four options: Cinematic, Credits, settings and Quit. There is no option for character creation.

I think i solved that problem but now it says
