Avoiding fall damage in scenarios?

Is there a cheat engine/hack/exploit/whatever that is allowing players to avoid fall damage? I've been noticing some players in GoE still jump over the side when things turn against them, except that when they hit the ground they don't die. These aren't people with full health bars, either; guys are jumping off with < 50% and hitting the ground running like everything is fine.

Perhaps AM, SW, and BW all have some feather-fall ability? I dunno... seems suspect to me.

Well sw and sh have self punt... the others i don't know. I did see the same thing though, you are not alone in that assessment.

SW's / SqHs / WE's / WH's can self punt away which has no fall damage

Also if one of your tanks is punt happy they can kick someone off and again there is not fall damage for that

Okay, so that clears some of it up. It still remains to figure out how (some) AM and BW are doing it, when they jump over of their own accord (i.e. weren't punted).

I hope I don't seem biased against Order, there may well be Destro players doing it too, but I'm never chasing down anyone on my own team and trying to kill them, so I only provide what I've observed.

I've seen some people jump down onto the ledge above the doorway, and then onto the little wall at the side of the ramp. Not sure if you still take a little dmg but obv reduces it :P

i experienced it by myself playing my RP. hotted myself, falled down and only got around -400 falldamge which seems a bit low to me. also saw once a DoK jumping off full hotted and taking almost 0 falldamge.

Current fall damage code is based on checking your velocity as you transition into the "grounded" state from being off the ground. Looks like that's not reliable. Displacement from apex check it is!

I don't think it is an exploit/hack. It just sometimes happens.
I've experienced recieving 0 damage from fall in GoE as well (as a zealot) - not all the time, let's say once in eight, ten jumps - and as far as I remember, even live servers sometimes didn't calculate fall damage correctly.

There is a way to avoid falldmg, I've seen ppl use. If you slide down a wall with an incline (which can be done from the middle of the GoE SC) then you dont take any fall dmg. But it worked that way on live server as well.
I did how ever experience on my WE last night, that if I jump of and land just on the edge of the little ledge (where the siege towers give access to GoE from dessy side) I did not recieve any falldmg. It seemed like the server didnt know if I was landing on the ground next to the ledge or on the actual ledge and therefor didnt know how to handle the landing, I guess.

A bit hard to explain - I hope it made some sence atleast :)
