Best 2H tank destruction side

Hi, i'm new to the game and 2h is my favorite type of weapon, which tank is better damage wise with a 2h, i'm torn between black orc and black guard, both are cool

it is complicated question because dead deals no dmg... i see no reason to play with glass cannon tank but you do you

every tank in this is game is quite good, depends how you play and do you prefer wb or small team

first, i play also very often 2h tank(bg), BUT it’s not a dps.
your role is to support and debuff.
i always die a little inside when i see ppl asking the same question (which tank deals most damage; you are a tank!!)
if you want to deal proper damage you have to play dps.
just don’t annoy ppl with another tank who doesn’t know how to guard and plays like a wannabe dps.

Black orc then for damage. All tanks are useful, please use the career builder and look at their abilities and tatics available.

Any 2h tank will be fine as long as you stick near your DPS guard and spam assist on whatever they target.

In tier 4, you may feel pretty squishy when you first hit 40 as a 2hander. Things start to feel vastly different once you get into vanq/invader level and your armor/stats make you much harder to kill.

The only tank useful in a wb setup for orvr with a 2h is bg due to crimson death but as a 2h you need to guard someone with a brain and without suicidal tendencies possibly a marauder.
If we talk about a 6 man setup both bg and bo can do good with 2h.If we talk about a city wb setup same story.
Damage wise i think bo have a little more burst than bg on a 2h setup if you have the gear and spec for it.Bg requires more buff managment,mechanic managment and a little more brain to be effective.

With bis gear a bo can get to 900+ str and 56% crit chance but for that you need a good party to keep you up cause the tradeoff is low wounds and less survivability.Or you can go the opposite direction with 5wl/3 dps sov and get around 600/700 str with 800 toughness close to 12k hp and 60/70 % parry with 500+ ws and go around solo. I cant comment on the bg potential with bis gear cause my lowbie bg is still below 80 with only 2 piece warlord but i suppose a good bg can be even more tanky than a defensive 2h bo.

My tanks are all tanks, but, from the many other similar posts I've seen ... play what you think looks cool. Also, make them both and play around in T1 and see how it goes for play style, maybe get them both to 16-20 before you commit. Really that can be said for any class/play style: make T1 alt and give it a try. Worst case scenario you kill 3-5 days and learn a little on what class X does and never play it again (but know their role a bit better for when you have to roll with them later on).

In my experience I would go blackguard. I found on my 2h BO A LOT that people would want me to go waaaghspec and you cant do that so well with 2h. BG's BiS meta build for city/sc/solo/orvr is all the same 2h build. Ofc youll feel squishy at fresh 40 though with a 2h. probably pick up a shield until you get 5pc warlord.

If you manage to get something like 800 str or more with the 300 melee power, you can outdmg a lot of the poorly played dps that youll find.
