Does choppa become a good 1v1/solo class later in the game?

Now I know that the class will never be as good a solo’r like mara but down the line in t3-t4 (t4 on the assumption that all classes have sov as I don’t think devs are doing rr100 wf/df), if you don’t go glass cannon WoT rules build?

Or will you still be a class that will be completely reliant on dedicated guard + healer that can explode like a piñata if ordo looks to you too long?

I have seen some choppas doing insane things when solo though I have to honest - it was way more than I could do...

From my pov - choppa is actually solid for solo. and have to admit I had always tons of fun roaming the lake solo. sure, I had terrible k/d ratio but it was way more fun and "yeaaah!!" when I killed some1 compared to roaming the lake on my shamy, magus or WE

As choppa you have some tools to be pain in the ass - no rage drop tactic, cd increase, kd your enemies cannot avoid, crit immunity for 10 sec, AP restore, tantrum, chanelled self-heal ...

sure, your dmg mitigation is almost non-existed, detaunt is a joke. you had to rely on your parry as only way to mitigate dmg vs. melee cuz with no rage drop tactic and almost non-existed toughness (before def sov) you are really more squishy than WE.

In orvr you cannot just ride your boar and be ready to face everything you encounter. You have to be more sneaky and learn when and what attack, change your tactics, decide if its better to dw or 2h etc. and have tons of potions :D

Choppa as solo is possible unless u want to face multiple equally geared and skilled enemies or unless you are caught off-guard. its no - sneak, torment, kd, torment, EW - profit kind of play though

thats why u have to be sneaky and not to be caught offguard. yea - and spec for RD no matter what :D cuz the moment they get out of melee range its usually just waiting for respawn for choppa

though I would like to see SW to get their "old" kd .... and BW one to drop them to 0 mechanic...

thats why was WAR never intended nor balanced for 1v1. in grp settings it doesnt actually matter if u have ranged kd or not 90% times

You can do relatively well granted you spec for furious choppin and like others said resolute defense. Choppa and slayer alike are prolly the worse choice if u want a class for solo'ing but that doesnt mean it cant work and wont be fun.
Morfee - Shaman / Mynnos - Kotbs / Grubod - Black Orc / Snubz - Squig Herder

Resolute Defense is a must. It grants u 10sec immunity to CC. If u manage to jump on lets say SW, almost all of them would try to rkd you or try that self-punt. When u r under effect of RD, they wont be able to self-punt. Against some players its free kill cuz they are confused before they realize whats going on, you can pummel them hard. Especially with no-rage drop tactic

Same confusion can be applied to heavy crit related classes (WH, BW) when u hit them with 10sec crit immunity. Not to mention Torment spammers when u land 5 sec cd increase.

But as was said - choppas and slayers are probably the worst possible choice for solo, second only to dps zealots (though they are hell lot of fun too)

EDIT - RD isnt choppa ability - its renown ability u can train from renown trainer once its working

one choppa ability might be a bit helpful vs. rkd - detaunt, if u somehow time it right. though its kinda meh...if Im not wrong it last only few secs and as only detaunt in game its "based" on your intelligence so it would get disrupted very often. in ideal world u would spot rkd incomming (when in melee range or close to it), pop detaunt that would allow you to survive, hit shrug it off, charge and pray SW wouldnt hit flee to keep the distance...
