How to win Scenarios

Just wanted to vent... and also give some advice.

Here are the rules to winning PvP matches since the beginning of EVERY MMO EVER!

- Stay as a group
- Stay on objective (This has the exception for melee who are going to peel off to kill an enemy heals just be careful not to over extend.)
- Focus healers (AKA Protect yours, and don't HIT ANYTHING ELSE UNLESS ALL ENEMY HEALERS ARE DEAD FIRST!)
- Stop giving a crap about your own end of match stats, winning the match via holding/completing objectives is more important than your ego.

And its that EZ!

Short version:

- Stay as group
- Stay on Objective
- Focus healers
- Objective(s) > Personal stats

Edit: Based on the request of another player I am adding an edit this is a general PUG Low tier, low skill cap scenario in where certain detaunts, damage mitigation skills, etc. are not available. This advice is not for organized RvR WBs, SCs, High tiers, nor is this viable at higher skilled game play where you are really going to need to judge the events/scenarios that are taking place; such as DPS is alone or over extended and no heals focusing to keep them up, Tank is taking too much damage from guard/protection skill, Healer is OE/Alone, knowing the timing of damage mitgation skills of other classes, etc. There are a LOT more factors and scenarios but this is just to name a few.

And that is totally acceptable but if you are bashing and bashing and bashing and bashing on a guy and he's not dying them GET THE **** OFF EM and get on another squishy or get the healers. In general my way will work for newbies but you are right getting other squishys is acceptable but not if you can't down them within the first 2-10 seconds.

Not long ago there was a thread about who to target first.
Healer are in most cases not the right target to pick first but this statement is too simplified anyway.

please be careful with such difficult topics like target picking...
its is misleading what you are writing ( in this game HEALERs ARE NOT Squishy) .
I would strongly recommend to focus on other things for newbies first.

This is just horrible advice on every level.

So you provided a statement but no justification behind it. Don't make an argument without justification. I could simply reply with, "You're wrong on every level" but that does nothing to facilitate conversation.

I have NEVER seen this NOT work in this game or any other MMO. There are different scenarios when you get to high level of game play and skill but in general this works all the time, every time. When healers have 6+ players DPSing them and CCing (Interrupts and stuns) them there is NO amount of skill that will save them.

I'd have to respectfully disagree, yes they aren't squishy like BWs or Sorcs but again if they have to focus ALL their healing on themselves they can't maintain their life when they have 6+ players DPSing them and CCing them.

I agree I should preface that this is overly simplified BUT in this game I have NEVER been in a match in this game or any other MMO that this doesn't work. With higher level skilled players this is not optimal but I'm not referring to those players, I'm refering to low tier and low skill players.
