Terrible Economy

Post#1 » Sun Jul 26, 2015 2:51 am

Drop rates were low even when you could PvE for woe/runescribed and murderers/slaughterer, but you had a somewhat reliable method of getting those items, especially if you were on destro side doing the IC gorr genocide 25 hours a day. Now we only have the PvP method of getting items... which is what WAR is all about, but when you look at the numbers it is totally depressing.

Every 400 kills in a SC should yield 1 new blue item to the market, and every 8000 kills a new purple. ORvR produces a blue every ~150 kills and a purple every ~2800. On top of those odds you have to factor in the fact you wont be the only one rolling on the item, 12 people in a SC, and 6-24 people in a party/wb.

There is no way to make "good" money in this game, you are just constantly playing a lottery with really terrible odds in hopes of getting that upgrade, or the item you can trade for one. People in MMO's, especially a PvP one like WAR, are constantly striving to perfect their characters, and currently there is a gigantic brick wall in the way to climb out of greens. People w/ woe/murderer runescribed/slaughter have a pretty good advantage over those who dont, the power gap is sizable, and is even more apparent on phy dps classes that use weapon dps for ability/AA damage. And even on caster classes runescribed and woe allows them to trade a small amount of dps for a huge improvement in defense over butchers.

I know this whole thing will be a non issue once the devs implement SC vendors, RvR sets, etc... but for the time being this is what we have to deal with, and I cant be the only one who thinks it sucks?

Hate to be pedantic here, but "best in slot" is by definition "good enough".

Eh then that's not how I intended to use it people always used that statement when saying that clamit is good enough

Either way we can't ask for Woe/rune a long time ago sigmar priest said they creating such vendors would take time and resources and would interfere with "player progression and sense of achievement"

Az is gonna drop the hammer on greedy gits who are rolling need instead of greed on items they can't use but other than that like op said were gonna have to wait it out

I just hate it though when people do better than me here not because thier playing better but because rng/were rich enough to send 100g or more/got the stuff day 1 of t2 where it was all only like 10g

Since wep dps is a huge factor the dmg inc from 25 to 31 is pretty darn noticeable

Even though I agree with some of the points made in this thread, is there a reason we need a thread that essentially says "I know you're working on a fix, but it really sucks in the meantime"?

There is really no reason for the drop rates of items to be this low. It just feels like an endless grind with the chance of actually getting anything for your efforts being extremely low. For the love of Christ just increase the drop rates. It's basically takes a work of the Chaos Gods to actually get an upgrade to drop from RvR/Scs right now.

first of all i have to say thank you to az for all your efforts :) this project is awesome and i love it...

but this dropp rates are really depressing :/ I am max rank/reown and my only thing to do is to get better gear. The problem is that IF there is a blue (just blue no purple) item at the broker it cost an enormous amount of money and i mean i would pay about 50g for a blue weap but they are all 100 or even more.. when i try to do pvp for dropp its frustrating :( even in a full wb with a 100 ppl zerg there is barely nothing dropping only greens :/ i totally agree with the step to eleminate pve grinding that was the right step but a drop rate increase would be awesome. I know this sounds like "i dont want to do anything for good gear but i want it" but i am willing to do a lot of pvp and i actually do. but theres still such a little chance to dropp a blue for MY class :( played everyday after the new dropp rates sc/orvr pretty heavily and didnt even saw a dropp for my class

@az i hope you read this and i hope you dont get it in the wrong way ... all you did is awesome but with these dropp rates it sucks to be max rank :/

and to all who are meaning that i should twink ... well i like my char and i dont want to play another one i want to gear this one and get well known with him :)

greetings

It´s gonna get really annoying to see that almost everyday there is thread about worthless gear drop rate´s...

if you want so badly gear maybe you should look for another mmo?

the droprate is fine the way it is and since yesterday you get gold for kills in the rvr lake.
we did run yesterday a 2 team WE combo roaming through the lake and made like 4g, the highest was 4s and 50c for both of us so if it where a solokill you did had got 9s from one player.

and to all who are meaning that i should twink ... well i like my char and i dont want to play another one i want to gear this one and get well known with him :)
if you would love your char you wouldn´t care about gear and just want to kill everything and with gear you don´t get fame, just talk how you don´t have a real life.

with the last 2 zones you would get the best gear anyway over the rvr influence for most classes

@Elratie

U are right sir! Many ppl think this game is Diablo (read item grinder).

@donsastre

This game have 24 playable chars, if u play only 1 you are literally missing 95,83% of the game content :D
