DPS AM/Shaman Question

Hi,

there was a lot of posts about how those classes are op & players from each faction was trying to tell that opposite class is stronger etc.

I would like to ask what is the real weakness of mentioned classes? only lack of aoe pressure?

They have similar st dps or even better than other dps classes while still have tons of utilities, kite tool (especially gobbo), they can heal themselves and others.
Moreover they can easy switch to heal spec and be superior for the party.

I hope for some real answers to expand my point of view why those classes are not so strong as "everybody" saying.

They are dueling solo dot based dps. In wb or group play dots insta cleansed and no one give u time to cast 2s spells, u must be nonstop on the move. And they have only half of burst that prof dps can do. Thats why dps am/shams is a bane of SC. It can work against bad players but against good all your dots will be cleanced and all your dps be outhealed/bloked. So am/shammies shine at catching solos putinng dots and watch them burn due to no healing while the kite/heal/cleance.

They are average dps and a bad pick for a 2nd dps (slow setup no real burst)
They are subpar aoe dps
They are able to fill the 2nd healer slot (need a solid aoe healer to piggy)
They struggle vs BW/Sorc comps (20s CD absorb is your only realistic counter)
They are an easy to do ok as a solo roamer class but there are stronger picks WH, SH, WE, regen tanks

You won’t see DPS AM/SHMY top zone kills, kill board or sc board (DBs).

An organised grp will shut kite down and bust the dot/hot healing easy

1. Not true...they have great burst.
2. Dps shammy is pure single target, but AM have great aoe tactic radiant lance...
3. Both shammy/am best WB healer, still strong pick for small roam pt.
4. Have no problem to kill any sorc/bw as a shammy/am solo/pt...not sure about AM heal if he can cleanse sorc, but shammy for sure can't.
5. Both Shammy and AM are strongest solo. If you lost vs wh/we/sh/any tank than you are very bad AM/Shammy.

6. Not true, was able to easy top kills as a shammy many times.

My points are backed by ranked summaries / kill boards. The fact that you can top a board don’t make them less valid

AM is not really OP. He excels at duelling but that normally doesn't happen in this game.
Shammy OTOH has better heals and much, much more mobility, making him basically immortal unless he is extremely outnumbered.
