but it's not as easy as it seems.
I hope this guide will be helpful for novice healers who don't know where to start.
Survival
Use detaunt. it's instant and 15sec duration with 15sec cooldown.
You can continuously reduce the damage from one enemy by 50%.
You should set up a self-target key so that you are always ready to select yourself. in my case C.
Addon Settings
1. enemy unit frame

By doing this, you can select targets across the entire warband and the same goes for SC.
Your group is separated, making it easier to focus.
The top two are tanks, the middle two are damage dealers, and the bottom two are healers.
It's much easier to quickly choose tanks on the front lines or save healers in an emergency.
Most importantly, this is useful for checking and creating 2-2-2 groups.
Additionally, if Line of Sight is not secured, the target will be greyed out or marked with a red dot if they are far away.
setting
Spoiler:

You need to look at immunity, buffs, and debuffs. Especially the immunity timer.
When you get hit by silence or stagger, use M2 to break free, and heal without worrying about CC during the immunity timer.
Having too many things on your screen can obstruct your view, so at first, just looking at immunity is enough.
As you get used to it, gradually increase the number of buffs and debuffs you pay attention to.
It's important to anticipate and react to healing debuffs or the starting debuff of the rotation.
setting
Spoiler:
All healers have a 15sec duration HoT, a 2sec casting ST, a 3sec casting group heal, cleans, and a shield in common.
HoT
Please pre-hot melees before engaging in combat,
as burst damage comes in the form of DoT + direct damage assist,
and needs to be dealt with using HoT + direct healing assist.
Cleanse
To prevent the full damage of enemy rotations, you need to interrupt them in the middle.
It means disrupting their rotation.
For example, in the case of sorc/BW, set up Word of Pain/Boiling Blood to show on allies in buffhead,
and focus on healing while cleansing allies affected by these debuffs.
For engi/magi, it would be Withered Soul/Signal Flare.
You may not be able to cure all the necessary debuffs, but the effect is still greater than expected.
Shielding
You can think of it as an instant heal.
Since it is an instant skill, it is used to buy time for other healing. It's good in emergencies.
ST Healing
This is a big burst heal. It's a crucial skill that's difficult to use at the right moment and on the right target.
Group Healing
This is a long-range heal that does not require line of sight or a target.
It is easy to use but has a long cast time, so you may miss the timing for a crucial heal when you really need it.
Don't become an AoE heal spammer.

It's safe to use group healing now.

This is not a good moment to use group healing.
Group member with lowest health have a high chance of dying during the casting.
This is the time to target the lowest hp and perform emergency healing.
However, emergency healing is a high-level technique, so we'll cover it next time.
It varies for each healer.
Sometimes, in order to save a more important target, you may need to sacrifice another target.
This judgment requires experience.
Classes
If you still don't know what to do even after setting up, this is the basic healing rotation.
