The Great Squig Hunt
The Great Squig Hunt
Was it two or three years ago, mSH was overturned and rampaging in the lakes ? I think we spent about a month or two waiting for the devs to nerf it back to a dead spec. Any one have any videos and or screen caps ? I was telling a friend about that summer run mSH had and would like to show him. For all those still playing mSH, keep the dream alive, i still play mine once in awhile as well. Thanks in advance.

Re: The Great Squig Hunt
Honestly,
I made my Melee-squig because I saw the nasty potential on the career builder with two tactics both giving 25% damage modifer and overall a spec that had pretty much everything from Mobility, crowdcontrol, debuffs, sustain and free tankiness and acces to good morales.
The only thing the spec really missed with singletarget, and burst. Which it got in the pet-build and not the pet-less aoe build I was attracted to personally.
Having the high tempo M1 burst with the pet + m1 was just a little bit bonkers imo, yes it was alot of fun blowing up someone with Fake-coordinated strike and M1 but it made the class into a monster on top of what powerhouse it already was and is.
Right now the build is more of a utility aoe spec, you get acces to the only Pierce defence proc on destro for aoe, the only cooldown increaser, one of the two aoe punts without cooldown for interrupting slayerchannels or servince as a snowplow in a funnelbreak push, and in rare occations you get to use Kaboom with is the furtest aoe punt in the game, depending on how you build you can bring armor debuff from item-set procs or go for damage and you will most of the time compete with purebreed-dps classes on damagedone, while no longer relying fully on Waaagh or Chopfaster as MSH got a filler aoe ability instead of the baseline ST knockdown.
The petless aoe build is just very easy to play, brings alot and competes in many categories where other pure-dps classes dont bring as much as you do for a very minor tradeoff in damageoutput.
The MSH is imo still more than fine, for what it is supposed to be and do.
