Welcome to the first Community Death League!
An "unofficial" hardcore season, running from 1st of Jan to 31st of Jan 2023, made possible by the addition of the Killboard.


Your Task is Evident: Gain the most renown without dying

The Rewards are tempting:

1. 1000 gold
2. 500 gold
3. 250 gold
4. 150 gold
5. 100 gold

The Rules are simple:

1. No Forced/Dirty Disconnects to escape death
2. No Scenarios
3. No new accounts (accounts must be older than 1st of December 2022)
4. Character must be created during season

The Submission is plain:
Provide screenshot on this forum post of either...

1. First Death
2. Second Death if using Season special rules
3. If you survive the season, submit screenshot alive before deadline

With Date, Time, Renown Rank and renown % all visible.
When in doubt a further submission of ToK with death/creation time may be asked for.

Minimum Renown Rank: 10
Submission Deadline: 3 days after season end (3rd of Feb 2023)

Death is merely a negation..

Once per character you can pay 10 gold per renown rank to resurrect.
All gold paid will be put into the Deadpool and giving back to the top entries. See Q&A for details.

Season Special Rewards:
Top 3 Empire entries, to receive:

1. 250 gold
2. 150 gold
3. 100 gold

And can claim the title "Champion of Morr"
*To use you must first earn the title in game, but we know you are the only true champions

Top 5 entries (of any race) will recieve 20% of the total Deadpool gold.

Q. How do I pay into the Deadpool?
A. Send appropriate amount (e.g. 100 gold for a RR10 death) to either Pool Lady:

• Order: Shaheena

• Destro: Wildera

Q. How will the Deadpool prize be split?
A. Will depend on final number of participants and pool size. For now split 20% each to top 5 entries.

Q. I forgot to take a screenshot when I died, can I still submit?
A. Yes, if you forget or were unable to take a qualifying screenshot of your death, you can take one within a reasonable time after, assuming no further deaths are recorded, however with the acceptance on the judge's discretion and may in case of any doubt get rated lower than a properly submitted entry.

Q. When will rewards be given out?
A. Winners and rewards will be announced and distributed within 7 days after the deadline

Q. If I submit multiple characters can I win more prizes?
A. Yes, rank entries are per character, not account.

Q. What if I die during PvE, AFK or a map glitch?
A. Any death ends your run (or requires invokation of season special rules if available)

Q. Can I play with my friends or PUGs or do I have to solo?
A. Play how you want, following the spirit of the game mode, it's a team game, though if you team up, ideally you all follow the rules.

Q. Can I get to CR40 RR1 and complete dungeon sets before going to PvP?
A. Yes, but only renown counts for the ranking, doing so would also prompt a request for proof of no PvE deaths.

Q. What does "unofficial" mean in this context?
A. It means this event is driven by my initiative and not any RoR Team member, though I open either including or passing on to whatever degree they want
The 2.5k gold prizepool is from my personal bank, and.. the title rewards are a joke.

Q. Will there be more seasons?
A. Maybe, if it works out technically and gains good traction with the player base.. then there's a lot of Gods to please.

Q. Will OP participate?
A. Yes, I will, and take a prize in the unlikely event my entry gets to the top.

Q. If my character survives can it go to next season?
A. Possibly, undecided, so keep them alive

*Further changes to requirements, rules, rewards and duration may happen to adjust for unknowns.

Very cool idea, and thanks for organizing it! It's always great to see people in the community coming up with their own events.

Personally, anything 'hardcore' related is not my cup of tea, but I'm definitely interested to follow the event as a silent spectator

I do hope you'll join, the "hardcode" terminology is just taken from good old Diablo 2, it's just to spice things up a bit for veterans and newbies alike, I'll be making a WP and WH and give it a go, you won't be forced to delete the characters once they are out of the League

Hopefully not, that would be a sad little troll thing to do, but we'll cross that river when we come to it.. of course submitting alt name or stream it makes it obvious, but in either of thoses cases I suggest getting pocket heals and guards, could be fun too
